Default yet another question

OK. so i've started my FitDay page and I'm seeing my calories. I'm just wondering how my little pie chart is supposed to look. My diet is apparently more than half fat! Next comes protein, and then a little bit of carbs. What should we be aiming for?
Also, damn, I'm eating a lot of calories! But totally OP. I guess the trick is to just keep logging and see how my body responds.
Hope everyone's day is OK!! I'm still procrastinating my schoowork (hence the creation of the fitday page, and the numerous posts here!). Much love!!

Here's the way I did it: I figured out how many calories I needed to maintain my current weight. Then, I subtracted 7000 calories/wk for a 2lb/wk loss and that gave me a totally livable calorie target of 1300 - 1500/day. However, this will depend on how much you have to lose and how fast you want to lose it. I see you have far less to go than I do! I am losing at that rate, so if I'm getting my dairy and veggie servings for the day in, I'm not worrying at this point about how much fat is in there. It is only the good fats anyway. But I average about 1/3 of calories to fat. If I plateau at some point, I'll revisit that piece of the pie and see how I can make it smaller and if that will help.
Okay, so that's how I did it, but I don't think there are any hard and fast rules about this. It's all about figuring out what works for you.
