Talking Off to the gym....

Hey everyone! I'm getting ready to head out for the gym. It's 7:45, my bags are packed, I ate some oatmeal, drank a little bit of water, and I'm ready to go. I'm very excited. Today is my first day at the gym. I'm only going to do the elliptical and treadmill since I'm not familiar with the other machines yet. Saturday morning is my orientation.

And some of yall may remember me from earlier this year? I had lost down to 241 and then went on a terrible "who-gives-a-rats" emotional/eating spree. I was some what depressed for an entire month over some stuff. I gave it some time and ... Anyway, I'm back at it now. I'm not going to give up.

My daughter has really pulled back a lot from breastfeeding so that means I should exercise even more and be much more careful of my food choices.

Send me some happy gym vibes. I'm a bit nervous about exercising in front of people.

Don't worry about the other people there. My experience is everybody does their thing and doesn't bother me, and I don't bother them. I was worried at first too. You can do it!

I'm thinking about joining 24 Hr Fitness. But, I'm gonna have to go at 3 am. So, tomorrow I'll go check it out and get a 7 day pass just to see. Shouldn't be too many people there at that time.

Congrats I have the same feeling about working out infront of people. But you just have to think to yourself who cares I'm doing something good for myself.

I'm back. It was fantastic. The receptionist is such a sweet heart. I exercised for 30 minutes on the treadmill and a few minutes on the elliptical trainer. Then I did my own stretches. I ate my mid morning snack outside the gym where there are several tables. It's a very cozy place.

The other fantastic thing about the gym is that its joined with a super store (like walmart, but nicer). There is an excellent organic/natural food selection. It's like an entire grocery store in itself and everything is set up side by side so I can run in and get my organic produce, supplements, homeopathic medicine, essential oils, green cleaning supplies and personal products, etc right there. It is perfect because I like to pick up fresh produce every other day or so.

I came home feeling so energetic. I ate a healthy lunch (brown rice pilaf with stir fry veggies) and now I'm going to take my daughter for a walk because the weather is so nice.
