I thought we could start a NSV thread here. Whenever you have one, jump on in and post it!
Mine for the day is that I have muscle definition in my calves! I was looking in the mirror last night and was amazed. My legs have always mismatched the rest of me since I think they're smaller than the rest of my body, but it's still really neat to see such a nice change. Hopefully it's moving from my calves up, because I'm more than ready to see changes in my torso!
We ate out at Panda Express and I skipped the traditional steamed, fried rice and chow meain. I asked for steamed veggies instead! Both entrees were veggies and chicken ones, no fried items in sight! {aka orange chicken/sweet sour} My calories were less than what I normally eat at home, woohoo! And twice as many veggies.
Location: Seattle, but an Original CA girl! I miss the sunny days!

I had a pretty funny moment yesterday, one of my 95 year old resident at my work, said out loud in the dining room, "yeah I can really see your progress, you no longer have a butt, it's flat." LOL! Though at lunch time her son came and the first thing that came out of his mouth, was WOW, you're thinner! I was feelin pretty good about that! LOL!
I'm not trying to lose weight anymore, but I had my body fat tested last week and it has gone down 1.7% and I've added 1lb of lean mass (ie, muscle) in the past 6 weeks. Hooray for weight training! It provides a whole new set of NSVs.
I did the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure 5K yesterday. Afterwards they were giving out huge slices of Papa John's pizza. Pizza is a huge weakness for me. I opted for the apple and fat-free yogurt instead.
I got rid of about 8 bags of clothes to Goodwill in the past couple of weeks (I wish it was because they were too big now, but for the most part they were just clothes I didn't wear anymore). So, I went shopping yesterday just to get a few things before going back to school. I saw some cute shorts and wanted to try them on, and they had my usual size 18. So, I go into the dressing room, slip them on... and they were WAY too loose! I'm talking they would have probably fallen off when I was walking. Not only were they really big around the waist, but the leg holes gave about 4 inches of extra room! What a feeling! The only bad part was that 18 was the only size they had left, so I didn't get to get the shorts. But considering why, I'm not complaining!
I ran 12 minutes straight today...which I haven't done since high school. When I first got my treadmill a month or two ago I was only able to last for a minute and a half.
