Morning chicks.... hope you all have a great day. Pull up a beach chair grab a cup of coffee or tea and tell us whats on your towel for the day.
Me- Not to much I am in a very crappy mood and it is my DHs fault, he has not been sleeping lately and of course is in a rotten mood and this morning was the last straw with me and he has really pi$$*d me off. Sorry but I feel better know that I have said it. I would really like to throw something against the wall just to hear it smash..... Hope everyone elses day is starting better than mine.
I'm in a grouchy mood, too, but I think I'm ovulating today so my hormones must be throwing me for a loop. I would also like to stuff my face with ice cream and chocolate, but fortunately we have no ice cream left in the house and I talked myself out of the chocolate baking bar I have in the cupboard by thinking about how many calories it would be. Sorry about your night, LC. Maybe you could take an egg outside and throw it against the driveway or something.
I called the airline yesterday and reserved our seats and special meals, and I had gotten our bus tickets on Tuesday so we're all set for the trip. I'm packing tomorrow. I can't believe it's already here!
My rash is still here. My dad thinks it's stress. STRESSED? ME?! I have no clue where he got THAT idea. It's been over 90 the last two days and I was going to go running today but Tom said it was just too hot and it would aggrevate the hives, which it probably would have, but I was grumpy about that, too, because I had really wanted to go. I knew in my head he was right. I did three exercise segments off this website I just found called exercisetv.tv. You can play little workouts on your computer! It's great! Like a TV exercise program except with no commercials! Evidently they're on the digital cable on one of those channels, too, but we obviously don't have American TV.
I think I'm going to put the kids to bed and then hop in the shower and hit the sack myself. I'm just too moody to do anything else and Tom is out at a going away party for one of his buddies. I'll probably check back in later, though!
LC. that's a shame to start your day in a bad mood! What is it with these men in our lives lately? Jake has been in a knarly mood for the past few weeks, too. The slightest thing can set him off. I've just been trying to totally ignore him. Hope your day gets better!
I'm not sure how much computer time I'll get this weekend. Caitlyn brought her laptop along, but she likes mine better. She was up til all hours last night playing on it. I did tell her that I had to leave early today, so she'd have to listen for Carley and get up with her in the morning. I"ll call home around 9 to see how things are going.
I'm hoping Cindy has her afternoon free, so I can come home early. Then my vacation starts! We don't have any set plans, we were supposed to drive up to Nova Scotia, but that's been cancelled since Monica & Eric had to go to a conference in Chicago this weekend and won't be back until Monday. We may go up to Lake Sacandagia in NY for a few days, but I"ll see if I feel like going along when the time comes. I kind of like the thought of just hanging out around here all week. I feel I should be around in case Andrea needs a hand, too.
Whew, I'm chatty this morning for it being so early!
Good morning - at least I hope it becomes good for you Little Chick. Shall I pass you a massive zucchini to smash. Kara, relax in the shower and try for some good zzzzz's.
It's peaceful here - even the dogs are still asleep. The Hyper Pypers left around five yesterday. I love them dearly but the constant noise and confusion gets to me after a few days. The dogs also took their family reunion as a time to practice howling! Too funny! One would start, the others would join in and then we would all howl too. They'd stop and look at us like we were nuts which we were.
After three days of decadent living, I'm ready for purification so am making an egg white omelet with lots of veggies for breakfast along with a V8.
Life is good here - sleeping dogs, a break in the heat on the way, no butter tarts in the house and Donna coming to clean this morning. I'll have another coffee and enjoy.
Ruth, it sounds like you have a good plan. I've been loving the egg whites recently, too. Sometimes I'll throw in peppers, sometimes zucchini, sometimes mushrooms, sometimes veggie sausages... So easy and good! Have a great day.
I'm about to clean up the kitchen. Can you tell I'm procrastinating?
Thanks Cottage, it has totally ruined my day. I hate starting the day out like that, but it has been brewing for the last few days. I think I will build a little side house he can live out there and just come and visit when I need him. you know like painting or taking out the garbage. lol. I hope your vacation will be great. Hopefully your Jake will be in a better mood as well.
Morning Ruth- smashing a zucchini sounds wonderful. Better than the egg idea Kara gave me. Maybe I will come and stay with you it sounds so nice a quiet and you have no men around
Thanks for the invitation, Ruth, but you were just rejoicing about having your company gone, you surely don't want more! But, on the other hand, those pictures my DD showed me of your lovely little village made me want to visit your area some time! Don't be surprised if I show up on your doorstep, but I'll be sure to leave the DH (and I don't mean "dear"!), at home!
Hey, LC, let's line up the husbands and throw eggs at them, I'll even supply a few hard boiled ones! I have a fresh supply of zucchini in, too, for good measure!
LC: Hope your day gets better and you and DH get right with each other. Spats are no fun!
Kara: if you rash starts to get itchy, get some Dermaplast so you aren't miserable on the plane. Flights with kids, planning etc ARE stressful, so maybe that IS it. Try asking a druggist for an antihystamine that won't knock you out. Hope it goes away before the trip!
Cottage: Hope your vacation is wonderful and relaxing no matter what ya'll decide to do. Just the anticipation of free time off is great.
Ruth: It was quiet here too before all 4 dogs decided they wanted to go outside all at one time...it's like taking a class full of kids to recess. The baby of the pack likes to drive the other guys crazy out there and aggrivates the tar out of them while they are trying to "go". I am now bribing her with some stuff called "pup corn" to get her house trained...so far, so good. But now she thinks every time she comes back in the house, she should get a treat. I've created a monster.
Me: nothing much going on today...work, then gym, grocery store, housecleaning. My husband is off today, so maybe we can find something fun to do this evening...playing it by ear.
We finally heard from our relatives in Minneapolis, everyone is OK, thank goodness! My dad had been trying to get in touch with his sister since yesterday!
