2frus - how are you getting on with just a microwave or do you now have some other means of cooking now ?

I thought of you whilst looking thru the lakeland catalogue. They have a thing called a Remoska you might be interested in. click on www.lakeland.co.uk and do a search for remoska. It is an electric pan with lid and you can cook cakes, toasted sarnies, pizzas, chicken potatoes, etc etc. I believe they sell asimilar thing on ebay - or perhaps Americans call it somethig different. It is from a czech factory. It has had very good reviews. I haven't bought one myself yet.

Our microwave actually has a convection oven thingy and top and bottom grill. It does pizzas pretty well.

Our hob is REALLY lame though. Takes ages to heat up, then gets too hot and burns things. I haven't quite got the hang yet, but yesterday I managed to fry an egg that was cooked and yet still runny in the middle so I must be making progress from hard-fried eggs!
