How's it going everybody. I'm new to this site and am just looking for a little support now and again. This weight loss thing is tough, especially cause sometimes I feel like I am the only one in the world doing it. I don't want to be the freak friend who orders a salad at a burger joint or refuses popcorn at a movie place, but my close friends aren't in the same place as I am with their weight, and so it can be hard to relate. But now I have this, and I already feel a little better. Thanks for listening, and any helpful words of encouragement or advice is appreciated.
Welcome -- this place is awesome!! Someone taller than me too!! Good luck, and I bet you can get used to ordering differently/skipping the popcorn, etc. or just eating in moderation -- it's not so bad!!! Besides, you probably notice these changes more than your friends do. There are tons of resources, hits, tips, etc. on here. Take a look around and get comfortable -- I find no matter what my "struggle of the day" is, there is someone on here in the same boat.
Hi gatorgirl, I under stand completely how you feel about beeing the only one watching their weight, and it sucks. I'm surrounded by people who eat whatever they want. this board has been so helpful to me, there are lots of others in the same place here to talk to. good luck to you! you can do this!
