I read somewhere in an article I think - to pick a pair of your favorite jeans that you can no longer wear and put them in your closet where you can see them every day. What jeans would they be? And how long's it going to take to get "there?" I bought some cute Sevens and I just can't wait to wear them again. That means the blob off my belly has to be gone because they are low waisted. I'm going to be there in three months, and no matter what in 7 months when I turn 40 in the best shape of my life...
I have a pair of jeans (actually, corduroy pants) my sister bought me at the second hand store. I like them but they're just a tad bit tight on the thigh. Would love to fit them so she doesn't think that I gave them away or something. She just buys a lot of things way to small for me. And then she complains that I never wear anything she buys me!
I have a pair of old jeans, size 6/8. I hardly ever wear pants period, but those are my incentive...and I'm too cheap to buy new jeans..
My biggest incentive is I want my belly button pierced, but I'll only do it when I have the body to go with it.
I had a pair of size 9/10 Levis that I purchased in 1992? that were a little tight on me when I bought them. I was in college at the time and was sure that I would lose those five to ten pounds necessary to wear them. Well, fourteen years and five closets later I was finally able to fit into those silly jeans last summer. And you know what? There weren't a good fit after all! Now they are way too big and I've since donated them. But for that whole first year those were my pant-o-meter. What a great feeling it was to pull them on one day and find they were too big!
I also bought a cute pair of Calvin Klein trouser jeans this winter that are so cute, size 7/8. It was when I was depressed about gaining weight, so I said on vacation when I bought them - now I have incentive. They are in my "skinny" clothes box. But wouldn't it be great to wear those?
Oh snap. This is a REALLY good idea!!! I have several pairs of size 6's that are in garbage bags from when I moved in with my husband and planned on donating them to Goodwill or something. There's a fabulous pair of jeans from Express that I would die to fit in again. Good idea. Thanks!
When I was losing weight, once I got into the regular sizes, I started eyballing the junior clothing. I would try on things from juniors, but I wasn't satisfied because of the belly I still had. Once I got my weight down though, I redid my wardrobe. I love the juniors styles, with the low rise pants.
I don't have any... I'm at my lowest weight since I'm 12, so it's all terra incognita and having nebulous goals about what size I'm supposed to wear. I don't know if it's a good thing or not.
What if it's not jeans? LOL, my "skinny jeans" goal is a pair of GORGEOUS black knee high nine west boots that I bought and couldn't get my calves into. Once I can get those babies on and zippered easily, I'm done losing.
When I lost weight before I was down low enough I could start wearing juniors jeans too, that sure feels good doesn't it? Maybe I'll be doing THAT again.
I have a cute pair of Gap long and lean button fly jeans that I want to be in by the end of August. They are a size 14. Does Gap run small? I can wear 14's already in most other brands already.
Once I'm out of those I have to go shopping cause that's all the smaller I got last time I dieted.
Hoping next summer brings shopping for cute shorts and tanks.
