Question Dinner help!!!

I like to plan a menu for the week, it helps save money on dining out! Tonight's dinner I am making cube steaks but am frying one with flour for my hubby. Don't do it often but it was a special request. I on the other hand am on day 1 of the SBD and WILL NOT be eating flour. Can anyone give me suggestions on how to make my steak yummy and exciting but SBD friendly? I am making the steaks with a mix of broccoli, soy beans, and green beans.

I lightly brown mine, then add a little tomato, some onion, mushroom, pepper, and zucchini, then let it all cook together. Instant "Swiss Steak"

At least that's how I used to cook it. We don't eat beef more than 2 or 3 times a year anymore.

Have you tried making any marinades? I don't eat meat, but my husband always marinates his meat. You'd have to check out some on-line recipes or something I guess.

Oh, or what about some dry rubs with herbs? He does that sometimes, too.

My favorite marinade is light or no fat salad dressing (itallian, caesar, and other vinaigrettes are my favorite). I marinate the meat for at least an hour, and then broil it or grill it in the George Foreman grill (or hubby grills it ouside on the charcoal grill). My husband (who also needs to lose weight, but won't eat anything that doesn't taste fabulous) likes it this way too.
