Default Another Compliment!

I was invited to go out with some friends tonight. My first dilemma was dammit I have nothing to wear!! I wore my size 15 jeans which are becoming very loose on me now, so I've had to wear a belt to keep them from sliding down. At this point its pointless to go buy pants that fit better since I plan on loosing some more weight. So I'll have to deal with bigger pants for a little while. I still do have pants from my skinnier days (size 9) that are still not fitting like they should be, b/c they are a bit snug and I don't want to look like a stuffed sausage. Therefore I opted for my size 15 for tonight cuz I had no other choice.

After looking in the mirror and feeling disappointed by the way I looked. I came to the conclusion that I was gonna look yucky tonight no matter what I wore.

What made my night was that one of my friends said " You are so skinny!" That made my whole night!! I was feeling miserable by the way I looked, Given my friend and I are give or take the same size, I did notice the my butt and legs did look smaller than hers!! YAY ME!!!!

That's great. Isn't it nice to not have to be the "fat friend" anymore. I love getting to the same size or even smaller than my friends. Then I don't feel so out of place AND I can borrow their clothes!

Glad she noticed too!

Isn't it a great feeling stepping on the scale and be surprised that you've lost yet another pound?? Today I felt like I defiantly didn't make much progress since I did go out to eat with friends yesterday. But, I really watched what I ate and made sure to count my calories. I can finally say that I can be social, eat out and lose weight. It used to be a balancing act before without much success. Hooray!!

Good for you! Sort of helps with the "nothing looks good on me" blues, doesn't it?

I like the idea some women posted when you are losing weight to just hit the thrift store for some temporary clothes - same if you gain weight as I did - that way you won't stick with the size.

By the way wearing slightly loose clothes is a strategy to looking slimmer.
