So yesterday I was feeling good and when my hubby came home I gave him a big hug as usual. Sometimes when I am feeling goofy I will pretend I am going to jump up and wrap my legs around him (I am 195 he is 160 can we say disaster!). Anyway after that I told him when I get to 140 I am going to do that to you so you better bulk up to make it easier (muscles that is).
Since then I can't get the picture of me being able to actually be held up by my hubby out of my mind and I think its gonna be a great motivator. I know some people like to picture themselves skinnier or whatever, and I am very motivated by my health being the main concern (that is why I started). But to me most of the time I fell pretty sexy at the size I am (in the right clothes) I am fortunate to be tall and big boned so most people don't realize how much I truly weigh.
So this picture in my mind is my new motivator for a while, what do you visualize? This just came to me in a rush as being the picture to hold onto mentally when frustrated, truly truly something motivating, not strived for, has anyone else found this? Lets hear it!
I visualize wearing a shirt where my butt is not being covered by a big piece of material.
I have this adorable dress that a friend gave me that is a size 14. I look at it a lot and visualize wearing it with a pair of sexy, strappy heels and seeing the look on my Sweetie's face.
I visualize being my future husband's HPW (Hot Pregnant Wife, which he calls me already, and encouranges me with when he's sees I'm eating well... "Mm, whole grain waffles are very good for my HPW.") and still being sexy after having a baby. I also visualize other small things like belly dancing for my boyfriend, going to the waterpark in a bikini and feeling fine and just being able to wear anything I want and lookin' HOT!
I totally understand the vision of jumping into your husband's arms -- mine weighs somewhere in the 155-165 range, and is the same height I am. Even at goal I don't think I could safely do that, unless he suddenly starts lifting a lot!
LOL yep my hubby and are within .5 inches of each other.... and I am gonna convince him to lift. If I am getting skinny then he can get bulky and he is the kinda guy who has that wide shoulder small waist build so he lifts and looks good in a short time. I am hoping by mid Sept/early Oct. when we start the Y again I will be down 20 pounds, then I can say see how hard I have worked. Come workout with me....and show me how to lift weights
I love weight lifting and we have done that together off and on thru the years.
Oh boy, I once dated a very skinny man...he was 135 and I was about 200(not sure because I stopped weighing myself). I can see how that is a great motivator for you!
My ultimate goal is to be able to wear my Size 12 AEO jeans. I loved those, and had two identical pairs. They're low risers though, so I think they're a little out of style now. I'm not sure if I'll ever truly be able to fit into them since I've had two babies in the past year and a half, but I have plenty of smaller size clothes I look forward to being able to wear again. (At this point I'd be happy with being out of maternity clothes for good).
Another motivator is that I want to be comfortable with myself naked again so I can enjoy being with my husband again. I have so many hangups about my body right now that I'm not into that, and that makes me sad.
I've been up and down 80 pounds, well this will be my 3rd time. Jason always says it will be so nice when he can hold me on his lap and I won't be so heavy. but even 130 pounds is heavy, the way I throw myself onto him. LOL he's about 195 and 6' too.
this might sound kinda crummy... but i visualizing KNOWING that my husband is more attracted to me. or at the very least his expression when other guys start hitting on me all the time, even if he can't appreciate all my hard work himself.

Another ditto! its amazing how my hubby gets so much more attracted to me as I get thinner. He doesn't notice it as much as I do, and he is so good to me at any weight. I just notice as soon as my boobs get small again he turns into a boob man all of a sudden.
