Default Nuts to you!

I've been eating a 1/4 cup of cashews between breakfast and lunch. I like and feel like I need the crunch. Does anyone else eat nuts as a snack?

I love nuts! I normally snack on chopped walnuts - 3 tbs per day.

I bought some natural almonds yesterday so I'm switching to those. I always make sure to count out all my nuts because they are addicting!

I am all about the almonds! I need a dried apricot or two afterwards for that touch of sweetness, but a couple of those and half a serving of almonds is much more filling that a 100 cal pack of anything!

I love pistachios! I usually eat 1/4c at a time (this is an in the shell measurement.) Not only are they yummy, but since I have to work for them I eat them slower.

I LOVE nuts, but unfortunately, I can't seem to limit myself to just one portion, so I've had to keep them out of the house lately.

I'm the same as lynnm39. I absolutely love nuts. I know they have healthy fat, but I just can't seem to limit myself to a small portion. So, I need to not eat them at all.

I put a tablespoon of walnuts on my cereal in the mornings. It keeps me going through school and working out until I get back home for lunch. Sometimes I sprinkle the walnuts into my yogurt. I have to measure them out and be very disciplined.

I love nuts as well! On South Beach, one serving of nuts is 15 almonds or cashews or pecans or walnuts or 30 pistachios or 8 macadamia nuts. I always take them as a pre-portioned snack when I'm going to be out, because if I eat them at home I always want to go back to the cabinet for more!

I just saw in the grocery story the other day that they now have "100-calorie" packs of nuts, too. That might just be the solution for those of us who can't control ourselves (it's much easier to avoid overeating when I don't have to dip my hand into a can)

Thanks for sharing, Lynn. Do you remember who makes them?

I'm a nut-fanatic! I especially love cashews and almonds. I could eat them all day long if I could, but since I'm on my weightloss journey I have them as snack on occasion.

I too love the Almonds, I usually eat them for lunch. I stick to the one serving most of the time, although its hard to just have one serving. I love the variety of flavors available like Jalapeño, Onion & Garlic, Smoked.....mmmm Yum!

I love pistachios but I just bought a box of them. And it says 170 calories per serving which is 1/2 cup. Then it says theres 3 1/2 servings in a box. So How many pistachios is that?? I love them and could probaly eat them all. I just want to count them out so I get the right serving.
