Default Fast food ideas-stat!

Hi there!
I'm leaving in 3 hours and I have to be on the road and eat on the road before 3 meetings. Any suggestions for a drive through? What about those grilled snack wraps at mickey d's w/o the dressing? Any ideas welcome. Thanks!

My suggestion is to pack a cooler and take your food with you that way you know what you eating. Otherwise go to the McDonald's website and pull up their information facts that will allow you to eat within your limits.

Good luck,

C.

The honey mustard snack wrap with grilled chicken is 260 calories and 3.5 grams of saturated fat. That's not too treacherous. Or you can get yourself a plain hamburger. That's 250. Get one without the cheese. The cheese only adds more fat and calories.

Does it have to be Micky D's? If so, start planning now by looking over their nutritional facts online.

At McD's, I get the southwest chicken salad with grilled chicken, no tortilla strips and only use about 1/3 the dressing. If you get the tortilla strips and use all the dressing, it's 420 calories, 15g fat, 7g fiber, 31g protein and 41g carbs. It's very filling, too.

McD's also has a grilled chicken at 420 calories, 10g fat, 3 fiber, 32g protein and 51g carbs.

If I am in a situation where fast food is necessary (social/time constraints/travel), my fav is the Mandarin chicken salad at Wendys without the noodles or almonds and only 1/3 the dressing -- works out to about 265 calories, 9.5g fat, 4g fiber, 22g protein, 36g carbs.

Another good choice at Wendy's is ultimate chicken grill at 320 calories, 7g fat, 2g fiber, 28g protein, 36g carbs.

Another strategy is to order a kids meal if you MUST have a burger & fries, but frankly, I like the salads and the grilled chicken better.

The fruit and yogurt parfait is pretty good as well as the grape and apple salad. Sometimes I will take (or you could buy) a luna bar and then get the parfait or salad to go with it.

Luna bar 180 cal
Fruit and walnut salad snack size 210
Parfait 130/160 w/granola

Thanks for the suggestions. I have to drive while I eat. I would have planned ahead (cooler, snacks), however this trip came up when I walked in the door at work....
I'll check the Wendy's site. I can eat a grilled chicken sandwich on the road, but I'm not too sure about the mandarin oranges or a salad!
Thanks guys!

Hey, have you been to the wendy's site? It's awesome, you can personalize your food to add/remove items, and they highlight the calories, fat, carbs and protien for you. Very user friendly!

Yes, I LOVE the Wendy's site...they have GREAT info...and it happens to be the closest fast food to my work, so it's a frequent lunch fall-back.
