Exclamation HI I'm New

Hi everyone,
My name is Alex(I'm a girl) and I'm new to dieting. I never believed in diets and I always thought they were dangerouse. A friend of mine started on the SB diet and recomended to me. I bought the book and this diet does not seem one of the crazy ones.I had an operation 3 years ago on my right overy and they fouind endomitrriossis. They put me on very strong hormone therapi which ofcourse made me gain loads of weight. I never had a weight problem but since then its a different story. I am a tall girl so it does not show very much but I feel fat anyway. I gained in total 40 pounds in the last three years. I am at the moment 165 pounds and I would like to lose 10 to 20 pounds. I started the diet 1 week and two days ago. I lost alreaady 2 pounds but I might be doing something wrong becasue my friend lost 10 pounds on her first week. I do realise that I might be skipping some meals sometimes and I dont go with the meal planner of the book. But i do follow the guildlines of the foods to enjoy and foods to avoid. I did slip this weekend becasue we were in holiday and I had a couple of drinks on the first day. So i dont know if I need to start the 1 phase all over again or just add the 2 days that i slipt? Please help...thanks for letting me join in! Cheers

Hi Alex.

I'm not too familiar with the SB diet, but a 2 pound weight loss sounds great! I know that you would like the numbers like your friend, but everybody is different, and you shouldn't get discouraged because she posted a bigger loss. This is about YOU. And more than fast numbers, it is about healthy, sustainable weight loss and developing better eating habits. Try following your plan as closely as possible, and I guarantee you'll continue to lose!

Take care and good luck,
Toki
