Hi and

Glad you are here!
Don't worry about the lack of motivation... I think MOST or all of us lack motivation at least some of the time. What it takes is a DECISION to get in shape, develop a plan and stick with it!
I know what you mean about the thyroid as I have that also and in fact had half of mine removed a couple years back because of a tumor. It DOES affect us and makes it harder to get the weight off I think... but it CAN be done if we keep our meds regulated right AND just plain ole stick with our plans... the plan doesn't even have to be complicated or a "diet" but whatever works for us. For me it is just eat healthfully and move my butt a lot more.

Since I have cut out most processed foods and greatly lowered my salt intake, my blood pressure has dropped from high (and my doctor seriously considering putting me on meds) to a normal range... and all my working out makes me feel so much better!
Good for you for admitting that you are the main cause of most of your weight problem. You are off to a great start by doing so. What type of exercise and eating plan are you doing?
