Hello everyone! I'm here to make some new friends and get some new ideas for how to get off these stubborn pounds. I'm recovering from depression and ever since I started counseling I've been losing weight,(I was 282 now I'm only 238) but I think the days of the weight just coming off is over, I've been stuck around this same weight for a few months. I'm ready to do something to get rid of this extra weight and become a healthier person.

Hiya! Yes, depression has quite a significant impact on weight...I've been suffering depression for a couple of years now and only as of recent have I been prescribed medication. My ED and self-injury skyrocketted over these past few months and I ended up in hospitalization-the best decision I ever made. Truly. As far as weight goes, the greatest thing I've larned is that it's all about mind-set; you must train yourself to resist food and acquire an appetite for hunger and weightloss. Whenever you're hungry, or perhaps you develop a craving for chocolate, close your eyes and think of the abundance of reasons as to why you shouldn't eat it. Hopefully by then, you'll have convinced yourself you don't want it anyway. Afterall, nothing tastes as good as thin feels.
