You know on my myspace blog I have tons of thoughts about the diet industry, about my thoughts in general.
I really cringe when I hear the word diet- I see so many people falling into that mentality which does NOT work.
I am not saying I have all the answers- but I am also trying to be good to myself emotionally too.
Last weekend I had 2 BBQ's and I ate A LOT- but I just jumped back on the train the next day and I am consistent. Consistency is the key if you ask me.
No one is going to eat perfect all the time. 99 percent of this is mental. Beat yourself up, or say "What's the use, I just had a cookie?" then you will end up eating 15 cookies-
I just posted on the DOES IT WORK forum- to me something WORKS only if it's HEALTHY, if it's REALISTIC- Like CAN I LIVE LIKE THIS THE REST OF MY LIFE?
That's why I don't like diets- because you go on and off of them. No one can stick to cabbage soup or shakes forever. So, while there may be a huge initial loss- it comes back quickly, then when it comes back, it ends up damaging the self esteem of the person because then they feel like they failed, instead of the DIET being the failure.
Do I make sense? LOL I hope so!
