Default Help! Treadmill problem!

I have a big problem. I feel like I can run on the treadmill (or walk) for a really long time. I have the endurance for it. But the bottoms of my feet start to BURN so bad I have to stop! I guess it is the friction. Is it the shoes I'm wearing?? I've had this problem with every single pair of shoes I've tried. Is there something to put in shoes for this exact problem? Is there anything that will help? Am I the only one dealing with this? lol. It's just really frustrating.

First try a good pair of running socks (you can get them at any running store). I personally have found that a good pair of sock helps....second ensure your shoes fit properly. Then if not...consult your doctor. Is the burning sensation like a "tingle" i know that at times my feet actually fall asleep.. due to poor circulation. But if its almost like you are forming a blister..i'd recommend good quality running socks, the minimize friction and wick away sweat...also are you getting a good pair of running shoes? I'm not an expert by any means. Maybe go to a running store and see if they have any solutions...bring the shoes you have with you...a lot of running shoe stores will analyze your gait which may help pin point the problem. good luck

It could be many things such as plantar fasciitis, Morton's neuroma (that's what I have) ... Check with your foot doctor, podiatrist or chiropodist... Most feet problems are easily solved with good socks, proper fitting walking or running shoes, and orthotics. I wear orthotics and I could not live without them now...

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress...

A good pair of socks should cure the problem. The material used in making the sock could cause your foot to slide in the shoe alittle causing friction.
As mentioned above running socks are made of several different materials that may be the problem. Find a material that you like.
Cotton is retains moisture and can lead to blisters. acrylic/cotton blend is
good wicks moisture and lite weight. Some socks are really thin which can make your shoe loose make sure you ware your running shoes when you buy socks so they fit well. I like my socks to a little cushioning on the bottom.

good luck

Thanks so much everyone. Tonight I bought a new pair of running shoes (Nike) and some of the "running socks" or whatever they are... and OMG! What a D-I-F-F-E-R-E-N-C-E!!!! Afterwards, I ran 4 miles without a single problem. I can't believe it was really my shoes/socks causing me so much trouble. I am very relieved and happy.
