Default W.O.W.'s Fourth of July Week SIX Chat Thread!

Hi gals!! Another hot sunny day here in NE Ohio!

Diet-wise, ACK! Getting back on track has been harder than I thought it would be! But today is Monday, and I'm thinking it's a new week, another new start. Just gotta forget that I finished off the brownies we made last night for Father's Day for breakfast Still.

Family-wise, Dad's doing better, he has to go back to work next week, light duty. He says the pain is getting better. He went on a fishing trip on Lake Erie with his work buddies last week....said he tried to fish but it was too hard so he sat in the boat and got some sun and laid around but it was worth it. He got some funny tan lines, criss-cross across his back from the sling.

How did you all celebrate Father's Day? We visited both of the dads, of course. That seems to be one of our pet peeves, now that WE'RE parents too, we still have to run around all day and visit~ we just wanna stay home and relax on OUR day too! Still. We got Mike a set of movies and Tiger Woods golf game for the Wii. We made humongous steaks on the grill, had baked potatoes, corn on the cob, and beer bread~though the steaks were so awesome the bread didn't get touched.

The kids are having fun, we swim almost every day. In fact, I should be thinking about taking them out today. I don't work tonight, so I probably will. This weekend we got to go to Mike's company picnic and it was FANTASTIC! One of these big companies, they go all out, big inflatables for the kids, carnival games, BINGO, all kinds of booths and the prizes were like TVs and DVD players and high caliber prizes like that. We didn't win anything but we had a fun time.

Well can't wait to hear from the rest of you, libchick did you join that gym? Paula, if I were you, I'd break that scale again, LOL....Get to the rest of ya later....xoxoxoxo Michelle

Talking

Michelle-Glad to her your dad is doing better. That's wonderful news!

My father's day was pretty good and low-key. My brother and his troop all came over to my parent's house. We had fun, just chillin' and catching up. We had yummy bbq brisket, cole slaw, potato salad, and garlic bread. Sometimes I don't know if it's such a good thing that we are all good cooks. Even with all the yummy food I had smaller portions, where as before I would have had at least seconds or more.

Last Friday I signed up with a gym and today was my first day working out. A friend at work met me up there and we worked out together which was so nice. I spent an hour on the treadmill and went over 3 miles. On friday I going to meet with my trainer and I'll let y'all know how it goes.

Also weighed in today and another 2 lbs gone!

Hope everyone is having a marvelous Monday!

w striving for 64 oz
e I'll walk 8.5 miles at work, but I may go to the gym and get in 30 min

Hi again. Long day at work, but I have the next couple off!! (if I don't get called in) I am supposed to babysit on thursday, but I would rather get called in! Any more hours this week are all double time (and we just spent too much money on Makies birthday party and DH's fathers day gift) Anyway weed is going great, but I think dinner won't be as great. Wish me luck!

my "partner" at work who's doin the slim down challenge with me has been eating for crap and lost 5 lbs while she's on her TOM. I'm tryin hard to not be discouraged....last night i did some work on the home gym and was pushin 50 lbs (like pushups)....eating was good and i'm almost done with water for the day....hubby's supposed to bbq tonight...small steaks and artichokes......we'll see if he does. I'll probably do some abwork tonight too on my bean....gotta love it, it doesn't hurt my tailbone (thru all the fluff mind you) to do situps or crunches.

everyone!

I'm down 1.4 this week. My father's day was just another day. I called my stepfather and said hi, didn't bother with my worthless bio dad. I'm feeling so good right now, so positive about the future and I think I owe it to my new kitty Tiger! I got him yesterday from my auntie. I knew as soon as I got him home that he's as crazy as me but that's okay. Right now we're in the stage of him getting to know his new home and owner. He won't let me touch him but he feels free to follow me around and climb all over my feet. Just like a man.

i'm selling my DH on ebay. I came home, after a crappy work day, came home and cleaned and then had to literally sit on my smirnoff so he wouldn't swipe it. it was a fun game watching him hide n seek the box. he never found them. but anyway after all that i cleaned the dang kitchen. did the dishes, swept up, cleaned up....made food after he fell asleep (he didn't sleep the night before) and woke him up for dinner. and this morning, I asked him to get the dog's kibble. what does he say? "breakfast time kibble is YOUR" time.

so i fed his breakfast to the dog with his kibble.

i have to hit lane bryant tonight after work for new bras. my favorite one broke yesterday. workin on weed but at least i've hit my eating the last few days, water a couple of those days, and i've been getting in an extra walk on breaktime

Hi all
I know I've been mia for a while, but I was thinking of you all. I hope everyone is having a wonderfully, healthy weekend.

I just stepped on the scale and (drumroll please dddddddd.......)
I am at 169.2!!!! After plateauing for 3 weeks I finally dropped something.
So I talked to myself this morning and as Harvey does on Celebrity Fit Club says..." Your target weight loss goal for next weigh in is 4 lbs." Now this weigh in is going to be in 2 weeks. I am going to stay off of the scale and make it through the 4th of July.

My kids are with my Mom for 1 more week, so I've got a ton to get done before they get back, so off to clean.
Talk to you chicks later,
Love
