Hey, Choices! I'm glad you're still around and checking in.
Where in Washington are you? We were at McChord for three years and loved it. We're hoping to retire up to the Olympic peninsula in a couple years, unless we really love Germany and decide to stay there... Choices, choices!
I can't really answer any of your questions about relationships, but honestly I don't know if anyone can. Unless you're being faced with an obvious need-to-get-out NOW situation like abuse, then only you can determine whether the cost of working things out is worth the benefit of remaining in the relationship. Tom and I have hit patches that have been rough and we spat at times, but there has never been a question that our goals and dreams include our family being together. None of our pittly issues have been massive enough to crush our commitment to each other. But I think you have to evaluate what both you and your husband are willing to put into fixing things before you can answer whether you should stay or go. One big humungous pool of gray area, here!
Is the issue with protein and high cholestrol where the protein source is? I don't know a lot about this, but what if you researched some vegan protein sources? I'm an ovo-lacto vegetarian so I eat dairy and eggs, but what if you got protein from egg whites or fat free milk or other low fat or fat free sources such as those? Tofu...beans...nuts... I try to have some kind of protein with each meal, be it cheese or beans or nuts or tofu or cottage cheese or yogurt. You need protein in your diet. I would try to figure out the reason behind the low protein recommendation so you can eat appropriate proteins to keep you full and energized.
Hope that helps! Good to see you around!
Kara
