Default On The Bandwagon

After many failed attempts I am back on the Diet Wagon again.

I'm single, 31, overweight and no where near happy. I feel like with each passing year, life just passes me by. I'm stuck in a rut and feel like it's time to make a change and at this point what continues to hold me back is my weight. I'm tired of sitting on the sidelines watching everyone else live life, so here goes. I weighed myself this morning and I am currently weighing in at 317.5.

Here goes......

DMS42Fan,
Well Welcome welcome welcome!! Hey! You've taken the first step for great support and a healthy lifestyle change.
It's all in the head and how you deal with it. I know that when I think of it as a diet, I fail, but if I think of it as a lifestyle change, to be healthy, to HAVE a life, then I can really stick with it.
You will get soooooo much great support here!!
We're your biggest cheerleaders.
Good Luck to you!

Debbie

DMS42Fan - to 3FC!! I know what you mean about the time passing by and feeling like your life is slipping away from you. One of the things that keeps me going is knowing that in another year, I will be another year older. I can either be fitter and healthier next year or I can be fatter. So even if it takes me awhile to get there, even if I am moving in the right direction I know I will get there eventually.

WELCOME!!

I know what you mean too!

Two years ago, I was 39 years old, feeling at least 50 and weighing nearly 300 pounds. I also felt my weight held me back. I wanted to be fitter when I'm 50 than when I turned 40. I am well on my way, and I need to keep my good habits going in order to make it!

I hope you find this site as supportive and motivational as I do!

Hello and welcome! You are off to a great start.

I echo what Debbie says... I do not think of this as a diet and, in fact I DON'T diet but just eat healthfully and exercise! Try to keep it in focus as a positive thing you are doing and look towards the goal. You can do it!
