My weight really has gotten out of control.
I recently got married (1 month and 3 days ago).
I wanted to lose weight for it but instead I gained
weight - a lot of weight! It was the stress of it all.
Stress will do it to me everytime. I eat when stressed
and also when tired.
Although my wedding pictures are gorgeous, I look
at my body in them and I just want to cry. Especially
seeing the pictures taken from behind me - all the rolls
on my back. It's a damn shame. I was quite happy how
I looked from my boobs and up, though! lol
Anyway, I hope you don't mind me joining in.
I want to share with you the slide show from our wedding.
You may have to download a small photodex file, which
makes it play. There is music to it. I hope you enjoy.
Welcome back, Kristy and congrats on your wedding!!
Now that the stress is over, it's time to get back on track! What's your plan? I found I had to start slow and change just a couple of things at first, while others change everything all at once.
Kristy - I remember you. Your wedding looked gorgeous, and so did you! I totally know what you mean about stress eating. I have been having that problem myself a lot lately. Welcome back!
I LOVED your wedding photos. You looked so beautiful, and the love between you and your husband is so obvious. Some of the pics of you looking at each other brought a tear to my eye, you two are so in love
I am glad you are back here and I am sure now that the stress of the wedding is over you will be able to concentrate on losing the weight
You have absolutely beautiful pictures. Your photographer did an awesome job. I can pretty much guarantee everyone was looking at you all day, but they definitely did not notice your weight. Gorgeous!
Hi Kristy! Welcome! You were a beautiful bride!! LOVE the photos...WOW!
You are in the right place if you are looking for support from people who know exactly how you feel. As you can see from my ticker...I started here in February at 358......that seems so long ago!!
As far as having a plan...take your time and figure out what works for you. I started making small changes like bringing my lunch and snacks to work with me and to get some movement into my life I would park further away from the building or store I was going to in order to get more steps in. I still do this in addition to a good walk every day. In February I could barely walk up the stairs in my house without being winded.
I read here every day even if I don't post. It REALLY helps me.
So again.. welcome and come on in...the water is just FINE!!
Oh, Kristy, your photos are beautiful. The photographer did an outstanding job and he had such a a lovely wedding party to work with. You know what I admire? That your husband fell in love with you just the way you are. It will just be a bonus for you both when you lose the weight. A lot of women, myself included, add to the list of their insecurities the worry that their spouse may feel let down that they've gained so much weight. I hope you're not like me and you eat even when you're happy because it looks like you are ecstatic. Lol.
Hi Kristy. You are absolutely breathtaking. Thank you for sharing those beautiful pictures with us. I think you should concentrate on how happy you and your husband looked in those pictures.
Now you are ready to enter a new phase of your life, and that can and will include making healthier eating choices. Nessa is right; you have you whole life in front of you. You can do whatever you set your heart and mind to, including this.
I'm starting this weightloss journey too. We are here to support each other. It's gonna be a great ride!
