TGIF! This week has been crazy and I don't know if I'm coming or going! Another busy day ahead, so I don't know if I'll have a chance to check in later or not. Be good, no throwing sand!
There had better not be any sand throwing! Or messing around with the cabana boys!
After my visit from Shad, life is supposed to get back to normal today - gardening, watering and some laundry are on the schedule. I also plan to just sit on the deck and read my library book while sipping Crystal Lite.
My food was not great the past few days so I'll be focusing on the work abstemious today and over the weekend! Dictionary says: Eating and drinking in moderation. Characterized by abstinence or moderation: The hermit led an abstemious way of life. No abstinence here and I'm definitely not a hermit! I think I'll focus on the moderation part.
Tonight I am off to my class reunion - a friend and I had debated going and finally figured it could be interesting. The main diner is Saturday (we are not going to that), but tonight we are meeting another friend for dinner and then are off to the bar (where we are all supposed to meet). I can leave when I want and the bar is a straight two block walk from my parents (where I will spend the night).
Breakfast was OP, as was my workout. One meal at a time is this week's goal!
Ruth - reading a book on the deck while sipping a beverage - ahhh, nice! Enjoy!
Cottage - good luck running like crazy, I am sure it will settle down soon.
Good Morning! Dragging a bit myself today, had a softball game lastnight for the team my hubbie and sister-in-law coach. I am the token babysitter for my 5 month old neice (I love my job!). Didn't get home til 10:30 which again meant late eating as I go straight from work to the games. I know that is why I feel off today! Yet another game tonight but not such a late start.
Discovered something new yesterday, I have shoulders!!! Cute shoulders at that! Pretty sure hubby and son think I have lost my mind, but I see a big difference there!
TGIF! I love Fridays, the weekend is ahead! I think I will have a glass of wine tonight to celebrate - I haven't had one in over three weeks now. My kids are ecstatic because today's the last day of school. I'm drinking my coffee and savoring the empty house, because it's not likely to be empty during the day again for a while! We have a tradition of getting together with my parents and brother's family on Friday nights for pizza, then my kids usually spend the night at my mom's house. Another reason to love Friday. So, sorry to be bad Ruth, but I do plan to mess around with my personal cabana boy later!
Amasam - the only college reunion I went to was 20 years. It was interesting and kind of wierd. Some people seemed sort of stuck in the past. I remembered more people and more people remembered me than I expected. It was worth going once, but not something I need to do again. Although maybe if I lose a lot of weight!! I guess it depends on your high school experience - I had a much better time in college.
Pacergal, Congratulations on the shoulders. I used to like my shoulders too once upon a time. I'm looking forward to seeing them again. I hope mine are still cute too! I've been having late dinner problems also. Last night we didn't eat until 7:45. I've got to try to do better with that.
Ruth: Yes indeed time to sit on the veranda with a good book for you!!!!!!
Nessa: I think you are doin FABOOOO!!! I bought quinoa--now I gotta figure out what to do with it...
Schmoodle: what a lovely family tradition!
for lovely shoulders Pacer!
Amasam: I went to my 25th... it was interesting -- the women definitely aged better then the men in my class! I hardly recognized some of them... but once was enough!
Going to be a coool day here.. and it looks like it'll rain any minute.. I think I will don my ratty house clothes and smite some dust bunnies...
I hope your weekend settles, Sue. Maybe you should join Ruth on her deck. Sounds like just the sight (and smell) of her garden could put us all in a meditative state!
Have fun at the reunion, Ally! It's nice to go with someone so you always have conversation going.
I laughed when I read about your shoulders, Pacer! What a breakthrough, indeed! I have recently discovered that I like my upper arms. Funny!
Enjoy your quinoa, Nessa. I used to eat a quinoa pasta when Connor was allergic to wheat. It was yummy!
Have a nice night, Schmoodle *wink* *wink*!
Hope the dust bunnies didn't run for cover, Schazi! Although, that might make for good exercise...
We had a decent Friday here. I took the kids to the pool this afternoon and then Tom and I went out for the evening and had a lovely time. We actually met up with two guys who had been neighbors of ours in California, which was funny. We knew they were here, but weren't expecting to see them, so it was fun to catch up a bit. It's a small world! Now I'm off to bed.
Morning chickies! Just a quick post. Down 1 more lb since Monday for a total of 3 -- and I cheated yesterday! Back on track for the remainder of P1!!
I'm beyond tired and was a little late for work this morning as DH and I stayed up late last night celebrating our Spurs winning the Championships! YAY!
Hey everyone,
It's a nervous Friday for me as promotion point cut-off scores for the Army should be released today. My DH is up for promo to SSGT I hope he gets it. We're just waiting for the sites to update themselves and the wait is making my stomach turn. My brand new computer is suppose to be delivered today and hopefully it makes it here in one piece and undamaged.
I have to say that coming to this site really keeps me motivated. Especially, when I hear stories of weight loss successes. When ever I feel like eating that no, no food I come here and see all the weight that people loss and it helps me stay OP. Congrats on the pound Kim
Take care all,
Pohai

As for myself, I will check some emails and make a couple of phone calls. Later, I will go to the meat market to buy some Chicken and Steaks to grill for Dinner tonite. As for the rest of the afternoon, it is so darn hot already and it's just going to get hotter, so I will be in the pool all afternoon. I am not selfish, you can all come by and take splash...... I will even have some Margaritas waiting for you all......
Ooooh, margaritas, Motivated, you hit one of my buttons, I'll be sure to stop by. I've been trying to figure out if I can make one with fresh lime juice and artificial sweetener....every once in a great while, of course!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday. My day is going great. Almost at the end of Phase 1 and I feel great. Have a quick question if someone could help me out. I started a new thread in the recipes section but kind of need an awnser ASAP. I need to know if there is somewhere I can go and input recipe ingredients to get nutrition facts like the serving size, number of servings, fat, calories, carbs, protein, ect. Thanks so much in advance for any and all help.
