Default Alli

I'm sure everyone has heard of the new diet pill Alli. Does anyone know anything about it? I bought some today (since it is suppose to help you lose more than just diet alone) and still plan on doing SB with it. Does anyone know if this is okay or if SB has to much fat to follow while taking the pills? I really don't want to give up SB but I spent a ton of money on these things and don't want to suffer the ill effects from eating to much fat at one meal either. I was looking at the back of my EVOO bottle tonight and just one tablespoon has almost a full meals fat serving in it. I wonder if that still counts of if it is kind of different since there are more than one serving in meals and it is still part of the whole meal. I am just so confussed on what to do.

Are you doing SB right now? If so, how many fat grams do you think you're eating per day and is that within the guidelies for Alli? Right off the top of my head, I'd say I don't think it would work--SB isn't a low fat plan and Alli seems designed to compliment low fat plans. SB isn't about blocking fats--it's about being healthy and sated by a diet that included good fats and reducing consumption of bad fats. But I don't know much about Alli. If I were in your position, I would see how many fat grams my diet had per day and see if that is compatible with the Alli plan.

I think you better buy depends... i understand the anal seepage is orange and ruins your underwear...

seriously I wouldn't put that stuff in my mouth if you paid me.

i do not think it's intended to work with something like SBD where you are supposed to have heatlhy fats at every meal.

Well for the money I payed for it I am going to try it and see how it works. Yes, I am currently on SB. I am almost past my two week phase 1. I guess if I don't like the effects, it won't be the first thing that I have bought and not used the whole bottle.

So far so good. This is my 2nd day and no side effects yet. I have been followng SB as usual. Actually I have been a bit constipated. It REALLLLLLLYYYYY curbs your appetite though. I find it hard on most days to get in my 2 snacks and feel like I could sometimes skip a meal (not that I will).

I didn't think Alli (xenical/orlistat) affected appetite. Has anyone else taking it noticed an appetite suppressing effect?

My doctor really discouraged my from trying xenical, saying that if I was eating a lot of fat, I'd have the unpleasant side effects, and if I ate a low fat diet I could avoid the side effects, but there wouldn't be much benefit in terms of calories absorbed. By his statements, I assumed there wasn't an appetite control aspect (except maybe in developing an aversive response to fats). At the time, I was already eating very little fat, so there didn't seem to be much point. I guess if it has a significant appetite suppressant effect without the side effects of stimulants, I guess I might reconsider.

if you are in phase 1 the appetite suppression is natural

if not I really wonder about the power of suggestion.
