Default Switching back and forth between Phases 2 and 3

Do any of you reach small goals and maintain at them for awhile before going back into "loss mode"? Or do you just plug ahead on Phase 2 until reaching your final goal?

Just wondering.

TomandKara, I've never intentionally done that, but it's happened unintentionally--what we call 'plateaus.' They're usually unwanted and annoying, but part of the weight loss process. There's no reason why you can't do it that way, though, as long as you do a true P3 and don't go way off plan.

from my experience (at the other SBD board) this is pretty much what happens to folks farther down the road... phase 2 and 3 tend to blur into each other and a TIGHT phase 2 is what's needed to further weight loss...

phase 3 is really just phase 2 with a bit more food and maybe treating a bit more often. I unintentionally took a phase 2 'break' and moved into phase 3 over the winter about 9 months into the plan..... took me getting on phase 1 for two full weeks to get out of that habit....

Yeah, Laurie, actually my idea was to outsmart the plateaus by planning them. I'm a bit of a control freak...
