Hey, everyone. I just signed up for this site today, thought I would introduce myself. I have been battling my weight for as long as I can remember. I have tried and failed more times than I care to remember. I'm not sure when I reached my "breaking point", but I did...and here I am.
I started at 340 lbs in Feb. April 1st, I was down 25 pounds. My mom went into the hospital for a month the day after Easter...she was in ICU for 2 weeks. I started eating fast food way, way, WAY too often. It was close, easy, and I was pretty much living at the hospital. McDonalds was cheaper than the hospital food, and when you are on a budget, you go for what's cheaper. After a month, it brought me back up to 335 again. My mom has been out of the hospital for a little over a month now, and I'm down to 316.5. It feels very good, to say the least. Though to some it might seem like a small accomplishment, it certainly feels like a miracle to me. Every time I see the numbers on the scale go down, even a little, it helps motivate me and keep me in the right direction.
I look forward to having some back up this time around, and am confident that it will keep me going through this! Every time I have tried dieting, that is the one thing I have lacked: support. Now I have it, and I am ready to fight for this!
Hi there!!! Well if it's support ya looking for - you've DEFINITELY come to the right place. Welcome, we're thrilled to have you here,
I am glad your mom is doing better and that you have returned to your losing ways. It sounds like you're firmly back on track. I couldn't agree with you more. I LOVE see that scale moving down. It's incredibly motivating. I find watching those numbers decline feels better then any of that food EVER tasted.
I look forward to getting to know you and hearing about your continued success. Good luck to you.
glad to hear your mom is out of the hospital. It sounds like you took a rough situation and made the best of it and then went right back to getting healthy
