(Meant to put this in a new thread, not as a response to my other thread!)
I had the munchies yesterday afternoon something fierce! I had some soy nuts for my afternoon snack, which was perfect because I could eat just a couple at a time and it made me feel like I was eating a lot. I've also chewed gum if I've felt like eating but didn't feel hungry, sugar free gum, of course!
I was never a gum-chewer until I started SBD, but now I'm never without it! It's saved the day for me many a time. I love the cinnamon flavored ones the best, especially Dentyne Hot. It really helps me get through the craving for something sweet.
I'm not a gum chewer, I gnaw on it too hard and end up giving myself a headache! My grandmother has the daintiest way of chewing gum that always amazed me...
I also try not to drink water after a certain point in the evening because I don't want to be up all night peeing - peeing all day long is bad enough!
If I go to bed a little hungry, it makes me feel virtuous. If I'm really craving something legal, I'll have a little and go to bed real quick before I can decide to have more. I haven't woken up hungry, and in the morning it usually takes me a little while to wake up before I get hungry.
I'm trying to get used to and even kind of enjoy hunger pangs. Does that make sense? I was such a snacker that I rarely felt hungry before SBD, even sometimes was too full to eat much dinner. Hunger kind of freaked me out, because I usually got that shaky, low blood sugar feeling along with it because I was eating the wrong stuff. So I kind of enjoy the hunger pangs now that I don't get shaky and I like how much a little hunger makes your food taste so much better!
