Wow, cbmare I was "shocked" when I seen my name out there on FRONT STREET. Btw, I still have all my skin I will be needing plastics when I reach under 200 lbs. I pray that UHC pays, if not I will have to do some type of loan

You, as well as many people on this site, deserve all the accolades you can get! I forgot, how long did it take you? I think I remember that you did low carb. Did you do any surgery (lap band, etc.)?

Yes I did the lapband March'06. I weighed 421 Jan'06 and weighed 402 day of surgery. Thanks everyone for the compliments.

when you say lap band, do you mean a gastroplasty with a rubber band? I know a guy who couldn't control his eating habits even after he got it . It's great results for motivated individuals but even surgery sometimes isn't necessarily successful (It was bad because it was sucessful for the other 2 males in his family that underwent the procedure), but I'm glad you could do it, way to go!

No that's not what it is, It's a hard plastic band at the top of your stomach that forms a small pouch, that holds about 1-2 cups of food. Alot of people "eat around" the band by still eating the same fatty high carb foods that got us fat in the first place. I just made up my mind to follow the doctor's rule (most of the time, I do have my moments)

You can do an internet search on the lapband, because I'm sure I did not explain it clearly.
