I'll drink a couple of cups of coffee for you while you are at curves! (My coffee also has chickory, so prepare to be WIDE awake!)

Ok, here's my news for today. My husband brought me home a "surprise" yesterday:
Photo 1
Photo 2
Photo 3

Her name is Bijoux Louise Y Ana. She is a Ratshi (rat terrier/****zu mix)
We needed another dog like another hole in the head, but he could not resist and I'm glad he couldn't. She is so soft and sweet..her fur feels like a bunny! A lady that works at the university with him brought in a box of 8 of them yesterday and he fell in love with her (the dog, not the lady, lol!) She looks a lot bigger in that first picture than she really is..guess it's then angle I took the picture from. She's about as long as my size 7 foot.

So now I'm trying to work with a puppy in my lap...she's a little "insecure" this morning, but did really well sleeping last night for a first night in a new home.

Another glorious June day is beginning! I have a big bouquet of pink, white and rose peonies on my desk and the fragrance is incredible! June just smells good.

My sister and BIL and I had a lovely casual dinner last night. I did the beer can chicken which just fascinated the two of them. We sat out on the deck despite the heat and it was actually very pleasant. Even the dogs behaved well - a good thing since Joan is terrified of dogs. After 65 years, I doubt she'll ever get over it.

This morning I am off to town for a hair cut - more of a trim really - and then may venture into Wally World for a few kitchen things. I'm craving new tea towels for my spiffy new kitchen. The Girls and I do pet therapy at the nursing home late in the day and then I have the AGM for the Mill Society. The cable repair guys should get worked in there sometime too. They were to come yesterday and didn't show! Of course they'll come this morning when I'm out.

What's happening on your Terrific Tuesday?

Femmecreole, congratulations on becoming a Dog Mum again! She is just adorable and will bond with you quickly at that age. Terrier/s*h*i *t*zhu is a good combination. Picture #3 makes me want to pet that pink tummy! This is my first spring without a litter of pups around and I miss them.

Femme, she's adorable! I miss my pup!

Today was a hard day. I don't know why. I was starving all day and grumpy because I was afraid I was eating too much. I tried to take the same amount of food I would have normally eaten with meals and snacks and just spread it out and I'm not sure if I succeeded or not. I had pledged to not weigh until Friday because last week when I weighed myself every day it became a bit too much of an obsession. Hopefully I'll sleep the grumps off! That is, if the baby lets me get any sleep. When is this child going to figure out how wonderful it is to get an uninterrupted night's rest? I certainly thought she'd have it down by now!

It was in the low eighties here, which shouldn't be too hot, but having the baby on my back made the walk around town today a bit drippy. I'm not looking forward to the humidity. I think I say that every day!

I signed up for a Korean class tomorrow night and I'm excited about that!

Made some really delicious portobello burgers for dinner tonight. Tom just got home from martial arts and he loved them, too!

Off to do algebra. Have a good day!!!

tomandkara, I'm in the same boat as you. I've had a couple of "hungry" days since I started Phase II, been grumpy, and my whole system seems like it's having a hard time adjusting (nuff said). Not having sleep can't help. I had two terrible sleepers and one that loved her crib and willingly went to bed every night. Slept the night through from the day we brought her home. Why can't they all be like that?
Last night after the Girl Scouts ceremony, they spread out cookies and punch and I was sorely tempted for the first time. I came home and made the peanut butter cup thing I saw a recipe for on this forum somewhere - I'd been saving it for an emergency. It is so good!
Today is a commuting day, got some meetings down the road, going to the bank, hope to have some time to run in Trader Joe's and see what SBD friendly stuff I can find. I've got my lunch and snacks packed and ready to go. Have a great day everyone.

Morning gals!

Cottage Hope you have a good workout. I will be sure to save you some coffee.

Ruth Sounds like a nice evening for you. I have yet to try the beer can chicken, but have heard rave reviews from many people about it.

Femme What a cute dog! My friends and husband all tease me that I am depriving my children of pets since we don't have any. I just don't feel like I can keep up with one more living creature in my home!

Kara Hope your grumpies go away today- I hate days like that when I am just in a BAD mood!

Me- This morning starts a 6 week Bible study that I am really looking forward to. It is titled Soul Feast- each week we study one of the six spiritual disciplines and then put that into practice during the week. I think it sounds really interesting. I have also been terrible about any type of daily devotional since Lent.

OP yesterday- yippee! Today's goal is more water..

Good morning -

Just had coffee and breakfast, after a workout. The workout is the one thing I have been consistent about lately - as my eating has left something to be desired. I keep promising to be better, get in one good day, and then off. In time my willpower will return and in the meantime I am making good choices 70% of the time and not beating myself up over the bad 30%.

Work has been busier than past summers. It is usually quieter by now. But, our summer RAs are trained and on duty (makes duty more interesteing for me than being out there alone!), we have done the first run through on our student handbook, and have ocmpleted many interviews for a co-worker who has been promoted - and we made an offer yesterday. Hopefully he will say yes and the process can be over and we can move on to other things!

This weekend is my 15 year class reunion and my BFF ( ) and I are trying to decide if we want to go to any part of it. I tend to beleive I see the people I care about anyway and am not to concerend about the rest, but it could always prove to be interesting!

Well, I need to get myself motivated and out of the house on this beautiful June day. Enjoy!

Ally

My hanging strawberry plant finally had enough ripe strawberries for me to have in my yogurt this morning. They're nice and sweet, too! This plant is supposed to produce berries all summer long, so I'm looking forward to that.
Today will be spent just puttering around the house, and Audrey has a piano lesson this afternoon. I don't think we'll get in the pool since there's a strong possibility of T-storms all day. Polo will most likely be cancelled, so I should be getting back home in time to have supper with Jake. Poor guy, he hates to eat alone, and now that summer is here I'm working late most days. I think I'll make Chicken Capri for supper with a "kitchen sink" salad. Of course there'll be the ever-present pasta for Jake, too.

femme ~ What an adorable new addition to your family! Thanks for the coffee, by the time I got back home mine was too strong and bitter, so I had to toss it.

Ruth ~ OK, I give up, what is the AGM for the Mill Society? BTW, we're still waiting for pictures of that spiffy new kitchen!

Kara ~ I'm hoping by now you're sound asleep, and baby, too! What is your Korean class about? Are you learning the language?

Well, I'm off to see what I can accomplish this morning. Have a great OP day!

Morning chicks. Great day trying to emerge here. The sun is winning the battle. The boys are playing on the deck enjoying the sun and the toys. The baby is sleeping he has a Dr app. at lunch. I don't have time to post to all as I need to get outside and either kill or save a spider. So to make it quick.
Great new fur baby, makes me want one. New kitchens towels is fun and we want to see pictures soon. I would love to learn another lang. Keep exercing and eating well. Take care chicks I will be back later.

Hi all and good morning! Hope you don't mind me barging in and introducing myself. Today's my first day on Phase 2 (2nd time around) and I successfully completed P1 with a 7.5 pound loss! I returned to P1 after about a year on P3 with the intent of losing another 15 pounds or so.

I've lurked around here a bit and have posted from time to time but wanted to start getting to know some of the other beachers, so here I am!

There is one beacher who I recognize - hi Nessa! Where in Baltimore are you at? I went to school at UMBC and lived in Perry Hall for a few years before moving out here. Its a great little town and I miss it from time to time.

Have a great day everyone!!
