Question La Snacks

Hi Guys

Me again Wondering if any of you old pro's can give me some ideas
to substitue for the LA Snacks

ie Biscotti,cereal bars,pudding,popcorn....

i really hate to shell out the money for snackfood but sometimes you really just need a treat....Any Ideas for me and also if you could tell me what it would count for? Ie 1F ,1S....etc

Thanks guys you all have been very helpful to me....
Is there anyway to come back to ourforum without goin thru all the steps each time?lol

thanks again MIZZ T

Just bookmark (add to favorites) the forum page... That should do the trick...

Finding approved snacks is tough, especially since they want you buying their product.. Some here choose to eat the baked cheetos which are pretty similar to the LAWL cheese curls.. Same thing with other baked chips.. but you have to watch out.. They're high in sodium and low in protein, so they are an occassional indulgence at best.

If you're like me, you just get used to not having them around.. salty snacks are a HUGE trigger.. Once I start, it's very hard for me to stop...

Liz and I have learned to love dipping berries into the Cool Whip "Free" as a treat.. It counts as 1 fruit and 1 condiment (or two depending on how much we eat)...

OH GOD...It will be worth it though in the end...(i did cheat and steal a few of my sons while away this past weekend)lol...but the scale was forgiving thank the gods and goddess'! I think exercise definately helps...So i really want to try to incorporate more into my lifestyle.

I do the same thing as Dan and when I really want to live on the edge, I put a little cocoa baking powder in my fat free cool whip. I try to trick myself into thinking I’m eating chocolate! This is probably considered “cheating” but a sprinkle of baking powder has very few calories in it. I love doing this for strawberries and bananas!

With regards to your question about not having to go thru all the steps to get to the forum you want ... what I did is created a shortcut to my desktop. Then I call just click on that, and presto - I am right at the start page of the LAWL forum.

I slice up bannana and strawberries and take choc. syrup lite or fat free or what ever it is and drizzle it on. that replaces my sweet tooth for ice cream

The recipe in the LA Cookbook for Truffles is yummy too - FF Cream Cheese, Rum Extract, Unsweet Cocoa - I don't have the exact measurements - but you mix the cc, rum, 1/2 of cocoa and splenda together, roll into balls, roll through remaining cocoa and refridgerate till they are no longer soft. 6 of these count as a dairy!

Nonni's biscotti are very similar in nutritional value to LAWL biscotti - counts as 1F and 1S;

Once I got both the extra fruit and starch added on, I picked up a serious LA Biscotti habit. Now I rotate them every other day with 3/4 cup cereal and 2 tbsp of dried fruit. Gives me the same feeling.

The Nutra Grain bars are almost identical to the LA Cereal Bars if you want a less expensive substitute.

For the Cheese Curls I sub in the 100 calorie pack of baked cheetos. Also a much less expensive sub, but I try to do them once a week max.
