Default Help! Restaurant nutrition facts

I'm going out to eat soon and I can't find a good website with nutrition information on restaurants, does anyone have a good one? We're going to Smitty's, if that helps.

TIA

I can't find anything for Smitty's. Maybe you can call their corporate number and ask if they can make the nutrition info available? A lot of restaurants are refusing to share these days.

Try these:
www.calorieking.com
www,coheso.com/nutridata
You may to find something similar to your restaurant and use that for comparison. If none of that works remember do not order any cream soups or gravies, fried foods or desert.

When eating out:

-Avoid the dreaded and highly caloric/low nutrition Bread Basket.

-It's always best to stick to grilled fish or chicken and ASK the waiter to have it cooked without butter or oil.

-Order salad, with dressing on the side.

-Order veggies, no added sauces.

-Skip dessert or make it a lower cal choice, like sorbet and split it with someone.

-Portion off 1/2 of it right away and take the rest home.

-Fill up on water.

I don't know if what you are looking for is on here, but this is one of my favorite sites (most chains are on here.)

www.dietfacts.com

If you can't find your exact restaurant online and corporate won't give you the info, then try to find something comparable at another restaurant and count it that way. I usually get a veggie burger (no mayo~dry bun) at our locally owned diner and I use the nutritional info from Swiss Chalet. You gotta tweak where you can.

A little addition to rockinrobin's great advice . . . skip any potatoes and ask for double veggie (obviously no sauces) or double salad (lowest calorie dressing possible 'on the side') instead.
