Smile Newbie looking for support!

Hello All I've been searching around for the past couple of weeks on the web for good sources of support for dieting and I think that your group is by far the best "real" group I've found, so thanks for letting me join!! I'm a happily married mother of two who has struggled with my weight since I was a child. Many of my most vivid memories of childhood are of someone saying how pretty I'd be if I lost a little weight!! I spent my high school years starving myself to maintain a weight of 103-110 and then gained forty pounds when I went to college. I've been a yo-yo dieter ever since!! I spend a while at a "good" weight and then gain it back plus some! My heaviest weight was a few years ago at 182. I did the South Beach diet and lost down to 132. But when I stopped smoking a year ago, I gained most of it back!! Looking at pictures of myself, I didn't even recognize myself - that's not the way I look to myself!! So, I realized that I need to stop the yo-yo and start a LIFE of living healthy and exercising! But I need some support and motivation to stay focused on the long term and not give up. That's why I'm here and if I can be a support to someone as well, then I will feel very good about my experience here!

Hi everyone! I am also new to the group and just wanted to introduce myself. I am 30 years old and have been very happily married for 2 years. We don't have any children yet but do have a very spoiled puppy Like so many others, I have struggled with my wieght my entire life. I too have heard the "you have such a pretty face..if only you could drop some weight" for many many years. My highest weight was 220 back in 2003. I joined WW and went down 50 pounds. I have gained back around 15 of those punds since then.
I am determined to take off the rest of the weight to make it to my goal. I have my goal listed at 145. Although this is probably higher than I need to be, I figure that is a good starting point. My husband is so supportive, but I found that I needed a forum to listen and learn from others in the same situation. Thanks for letting me join, and I look forward to getting to know all of you!
