Default No one ever told me...

I just had a very bad shock! I never realized that munchkins could be so many calories! 4 cinnamon ones (my favorite) = 270 calories . Tonight my friend wanted to stop by Dunkin Donuts, I figured it wouldn't be awful if I had a few munchkins. OOPS!
Serves me right not looking up info before eating

I guess I just have to forgive & forget, & go onward. I'm working 10 hrs tomorrow (catering, on my feet constantly) so maybe I'll burn it off then

Oh man, I know where you're coming from. I used to eat these orchard fruit gummies because I thought they were low fat and made from real juice, so what was the harm? Turns out that each bag had more than SIX HUNDRED CALORIES... X_X Blah!!

But, yep, we dust ourselves off and continue on...world keeps on spinnin'!

Donuts of any sort are notoriously known for being very high in calories. They are deep fried in oil. Not to mention all the sugar and other junk that is in them. Definitely a "diet" killer. Don't let it get to you, what's done is done and it's not all THAT terrible. Now you know and when you know better - you do beter.

rockinrobin, are you down ANOTHER TWO POUNDS!

Go! Go! Go!

Back on topic--I'll never forget the shock I got when I looked up McD, BK, and other fast foods. Why, one visit and you could eat 3/4 of your whole day's calories and think you were doing OK because you didn't get the super size!

I did this just the other day....went to every FF website and looked at what my brother usually orders (because I haven't been to FF in a long time), and what he orders comes to almost 2000 calories! I mean...YEESH and he'll do that two times a day! And he wonders where that extra 30-40 lbs came from! He has what is commonly known as "Beer belly" but it's from beer and fast food.

YUCK!

I used to get mad at my mom for bringing a dozen donuts home even before my diet. Those things are awful for you...not an ounce of good in them except maybe for taste if you like that stuff. I used to order these vegan donuts online...MMMMM>..THOSE are good!

That's another great thing about 3FC ... so much information.
Now, you may feel a bit silly about not knowing that but I'll betcha that if you didn't, there are others. And you just helped to educate them.
Never underestimate the power of your posts.

Before I moved out here I lived in Rhode Island where you can usually see a Dunkin Donuts standing in the doorway of another Dunkin Donuts! LOL
I learned quickly that they don't have much of ANYTHING that's good for you. I used to eat one of those breakfast sandwiches every day, then I looked it up and learned they were 690 calories and 51 grams of fat! I kicked myself of that habit pretty quick!
