Question Did you guys moods change for the good on this plan?

Ok first of all dh decided to start doing my plan with me. He does not need to I think its just moral support is all though he won't admit it.

Last night everyone said I am less moody, grouchy, cranky and a few other words, then I was since I did this. The other weird thing is that I was a BIG regular pop drinker ( 6pk a day I am guessing) and I stopped it cold turkey no pop at all. I have had no signs of giving up caffeine like headaches etc.

This seems very very weird to me. Anyone else have there moods change drasticly ?

Everyday seems easier then the previous so far. there are a few things i would like but not the point I would sacrfics weight loss for it.

You know what it is? You've decided to make a lifestyle change and your body and mind are thanking you for it... Instead of being nerveous about starting a plan, you went ahead and did it..

Don't forget.. This is not a diet.. This is a complete lifestyle change that, if you do it right, will become a natural part of your day...

Unlike a plan where you deprive yourself of certain types of foods (both good AND bad), this plan still lets you have stuff you love... Just in moderation...

And even if you can't have some of the things now, you will again before you know it.. The difference is that you'll know better how to control your consumption of those things...

Geez.. I ought to work at a COD.. Oh.. I forgot.. I don't have any here anymore...

I notice that when I stay on plan, I am more alert and happy. If I go off plan and eat too many starches or eat too much sugar, I get irritable and even kind of depressed. So, yea, I would say eating healthier and not eating so much processed crap would make you in general feel happier.

After I recovered from the Caffiene Withdrawl, I noticed I was a lot less moody and have about 8 times the energy I used to have even when drinking the coffee. Granted for that first months I was moody, irrational, and overall *****. Luckily it was stress season at work (yes that's what we call x-mas), so the moods could be written off with lack of sleep.

It's about becoming intune with what your body needs, my body didn't need fast food lunches 3 days a week and a bagel almost every morning. I now find myself wanting the fruit and protein when I get up in the morning, and would now any day reach for a veggie before I reached for a noodle. Your body retrains itself to eat what it knows is the healthiest.

Thanks Kelley!
In my brain, I am still 256 lbs. It really doesn't sink in until I look at the pictures and say WOW was that really me. It helps me keep perspective on this and helps me keep going when sometimes I want to say why bother and give up. I am very glad I have done the monthly photos and would recommend it to anybody.

Funny, my mood definitely changed when I started, but not in a good way! I was the biggest b**** EVER! I actually considered getting therapy over it, but thankfully it went away after a few weeks, when my body had adjusted to the complete 180-degree change in diet!

I agree with what the others have said, plus I would like to add, that I think it is also that you start to feel better about yourself. At least thats how I feel. I was proud of myself for eating healthier ..... basically less starch, and grease, and more fruits. (I have always ate a lot of veggies) Then you lose a few pounds and you feel better, your clothes look better, you start getting compliments, and it just keeps inspiring me to keep it up.

By the way, welcome to the group.
