Question Cooking for one on Sonoma Diet?

I'm considering the Sonoma Diet, but am a little thrown by the recipes I've seen online. Has anyone tried this just cooking for themselves?

Thanks,
Meredith

Mededith,

I cook just for me and always always make at least half a recipe, if not the full amount. When you live alone, the freezer can be your best friend. I generally cook three main dishes for the week and alternate during the week. healthy food is always ready for me, instead of the other way around. It's so nice when you come home famished and tired from work, all you have to do is nuke!

The recipes listed in this forum as well as the Mediterranean forum and the Whole Foods forum would all be easily modified to fit Sonoma. Just use the book as your guide, Remove ingredients that don't fit the Wave you are on, which isn't too difficult most of the time.

Hope you enjoy the plan.

My DH and I just started, and cook the whole recipe. We'll eat half and save the rest for the next day...so, we're having yesterday's lunch again today for lunch. We'll end up skipping some of the recipes that don't look as good so we can have some twice and save some effort. We'll probably use last night's chicken en papillote for the chicken & black bean wrap tomorrow, then leftovers from tonight's flank steak for steak & blue cheese wrap tomorrow night.

Also, to keep the shopping under control we decided we'd do pitas instead of tortillas so we're just buying one product, and grape tomatoes where she calls for cherry so that we only have to buy two kinds (regular and grape) instead of 3. There's so MUCH stuff you have to buy for just a couple of days of food!
