The day is shaping up to be a great Spring day, warm and sunny. I'm enjoying a quick cup of coffee and listening to the birds warbling away before I go to Curves. I really don't want to go, it's so tempting to just stay home, but I passed on it yesterday and don't want to get back into backsliding. Anyway, I feel so much better about myself afterwards.
I didn't get the opportunity to go to the nursery yesterday, both the girls were cranky so we just stayed home. So this morning I plan to pick up a few flats and start getting my planters done. That should make for a very pleasant morning. The rest of the day will be filled with playing taxi for the girls.
What are your plans for this gorgeous day?
Good morning! No temptations at the moment but around 11 the chip wagon in the village will crank up and the lovely aroma will float this way! I must confess the Pypers and I succumbed yesterday - but we did WALK down there with the dogs.
The workies will be here again this morning and I hope to see major progress! The three day weekend without a kitchen was not fun at all and I know it will be worse this week when they move out stove and sink and do the floor and cabinets. If I didn't have to be here to answer questions, I'd decamp to The Island with the two dogs. This is making me kwabby!
My focus today will be the garden and my comfy front porch with the wicker and squishy cushions.
I will resist temptation!
P.S. Once again, Cottage, we are posting at the same time! Good thing we know how to merge!
Strange that you are tempted to stay home and I'm ready to decamp. Maybe we should trade lives. I'm planning to do my patio planters this morning and will think of you. It's great to know there are still people in PA. I counted licence plates at the grocery store yesterday and, of the 17 cars there, ten had PA plates!
Ruth, what brings so many Pennsylvanians to your village? Maybe I should make the treck up! And sure, right now I'm ready to trade places with you, bet you'd like your life a lot better!
Goodmorning chicks... the sun is shinning here and they say for the whole week. YIPEEE. I am sick though, I have a stuffy nose and a hoarse throat. Didn't get here to post since sat but we had a busy sunday and monday. Sunday my mom and I took my sister back home to Moncton and then went to Fredericton to pick up dd hubby. Then came home here had a few drinks and a late supper and went to bed, yesterday we spent outside again and finished mulching the beds and I planted a herb garden. If you call it that I only have chives, garlic chives, creeping tyme, lavender and oregno.
Things around the yard are starting to look up. Today I have a ton of laundry to do as I am so behind with all the rain we had. Well that is it for me. Hope you all have a great day.
The first pic is my herb garden, the second is my side garden, the third is my new sod, and the fourth is my front.
Just checking in. It's been a busy couple of weeks. I am getting the house ready for my mom to come and stay with us. She will be released from the rehabilation center in the next couple of weeks. I am also getting ready to go camping this weekend. Can't wait!!!!!
BTY-As of this past Sunday I am done with school until next fall...yea!!!!! Dancing, cheerleading, and wrestling are done for the kids too. In about 3 weeks we are leaving for Fla. There is alot to get ready for.
Somehow SB has gone astray for me. I am eating whatever I can grab on the run. I only went to workout 1 time last week. Hopefully now that I am done with all my events I can get back on track. I am hoping I have not done too much damage.
Well now I have to dash off to work. Have a wonderful day

Reason: more to say
Ugh, I feel so sleepy this morning. I went to be nice and early only to be woken up by DH being goofy when he came to bed. I couldn't get back to sleep for what seemed like hours after that. Needless to say, I did not work out as I had planned and I'm a bit grouchy.
Ruth: You poor dear. I hope the renovation gets done quickly and you can relax. Enjoy your gardening. I wish I had some time to do some today.
Cottage: WTG heading back to Curves this morning. It is SO easy to just stay at home but so good for us to get out there and do it!
little chick: Your herb garden looks wonderful! I'll be planting mine in the next few weeks. I can't wait to taste fresh herbs!
stinger: Oooh, camping this weekend would be nice! Hope you have a lot of fun. I'm sure you're looking forward to your mom coming home.
Well, I must get ready for work. I'll try and get back this morning to check in again!
Hey Everyone,
Checking in also. Been absent for awhile. Everyone's gardens sound great. I'm the opposite of a green thumb. Everything I touch dies . Everything is well on my front. Except that it's a week before my monthly visit and I want to eat everything in sight. My mom also sent me a care package from home complete with chocolate covered macadamias. Oh the torture!! It's a good thing that my DH loves them. I told him he can finish the boxes without me or give them away to his friends but that's likely not going to happen.
Anyways Good Luck with staying OP on this bright and sunny Tuesday,
Pohai
Good morning, Beachers! Dropping in for a few minutes to touch base and let you know that I'm thinking about yous!
Life is hectic around here. We're quickly closing in on M-day...move day! Next Wednesday is when we make the big move. I have butterflies in my tummy. Cottage and Ruth, I thought about the two of you...I picked up a book on Georgia gardening the last time we went up. I'm already planning the trees, shrubs and plants that I want to plant. And, I'm already "decorating" my deck in my mind! Hubby says he is having wireless internet installed. Hubby and I work from home for our employer. He said I could take my computer out to the deck in the morning and work from there...or anywhere I'd to work. Wow...can you imagine?! No longer stuck behind the same 4 walls for 40 hours a week.
I've put my weight loss efforts on hold until after the move. Right now, I'm focusing on making SB friendly choices and avoiding the sugar. Hopefully, I can maintain my weight loss and pick back up in a couple of weeks.
Somehow SB has gone astray for me. I am eating whatever I can grab on the run. I only went to workout 1 time last week. Hopefully now that I am done with all my events I can get back on track. I am hoping I have not done too much damage.
which sums it up for me, except I have gained and my ticker is lying again! GirlyGirl and I will be on a modified SBD until the dust settles in our homes.
I woke up feeling really perky today. I am sitting here behind a desk and I would love to be out in the yard doing something. I am going to the Y at 11 so that should do a little bit of the trick.
I have ww weigh in tonight so keep your fingers crossed. I am losing, but it is slow and steady. I don't have a problem with that at all because I feel so great and I know that I am addling muscle. I have never ever done strength training and my trainer is really pushing me...before I know it I will be all lean and mean
Hey chicks just had to share my pictures I just took. I was out hanging laundry and I had two hummingbirds at my feeder. This is my new found hobby taking pictures of birds. I have gotten some great woodpecker ones and some bluejay one and now I have a humming bird. DH is not here to share it with so I had to tell someone.
The first two he is up in the tree hard to see him. The others are @ the feeder of course.
Tempting Tuesday be gone!
I really have no temptation to eat off phase I.
I mean, my clothes are looser. I'll do anything for more of that!
Well, almost anything.
So I too am at my desk job, feeling envious of little chick's herb garden and hummingbirds but not feeling envious towards Ruth's kitchenless existence. Hope it's over soon, Ruth.
