Default Tackle It Tuesday Chat - May 15

What's on your To Do list today? Can you take some of my jobs? I'd offer you all a coffee while we chat but the mugs are packed.

I won't go into details of the reno start yesterday except to say it was an incredibly busy day with lots happening besides the reno. I was in bed and asleep by 8 PM. I don't think I've been asleep that early since I was a kid!

Today will be more of the same. I have two more cabinets to clear but plan to spend more time off my feet. My knee is crabbing at me this morning. Tomorrow morning knee and I go for the first synovial fluid shot and I am really hoping that will shut her up for a while!

So what's happening around your Beach Towel today?

I'm dying for a nice cup of coffee, but I have to wait until after my mammogram. There's a Starbucks next to the hospital, though, and I'm getting a big coffee there right afterwards. So that's first on my agenda for the day. Hopefully I'll still have some time afterwards to come back home and get a few things done before picking up Maggie from school. We'll have a picnic in the park until it's time to get Audrey, and the remainder of the day is filled with piano, ballet and tap lessons. I'd like to do a little gardening when I get home since it's going to be a gorgeous day.
Well, I'd better do my hair and get out there and fight the traffic. Have a wonderful, happy day everyone!

Good morning!

Ladies - you sure do have lots of doctors appointments ahead of you. Great job taking care of yourselves and not avoiding the necesary evil!

Today is busy. I got in some excercise this morning, will then go to work and I will work my first checkout shift from 2:30 until 9 pm when I then go on duty for the night. I am hoping there are many looming finals tomorrow to keep everyone in tonight, hey I would even take the predicted thunderstorms! I am uncertain about eating well - the snacks are chips and candy and we generally order in pizza for dinner (it is hard to order in healthy food for upwards of 15 people). It may be one of those weeks - though the meals I control will be better.

Have a great day!
Ally

Today is a clean up and laundry and getting dd ready for her school trip. I will be glad to see the end of May when things start to quiet down.

Ruth- I remember when did renos in our kitchen, but it will all be worth it when it is done, hope the knee is feeling better.

cottage- good luck and enjoy that coffee.

Wish I could, but not a moment to spare! Got up at 4 and worked for 2 hours..then bath, dressed, breakfast, picked up around the house, put on laundry, started dishwasher..out the door for school. At school for 8. Teach from 8:30-12:30...
then have to go pick up something for my Mom that was not ready for Mother's Day;..then to UPS to send the package to her. Then to coffee shop to meet with client. Then back home (don't have to worry about cooking..lots of leftovers from yesterday). Then back to work in front of my computer till around 7 or 8 tonight and then fold the laundry, clean the kitchen..(hopefully a few spare minutes to play in the garden if it doesn't storm like it did yesterday)
Then hopefully in bed for around 9 with remote control in hand to catch the news, then lights out.
then it all starts over in morning!
I can't wait for school to be over.

Cottage, hope all goes well with mammo! Not fun but thank goodness for them!

Good Morning Chickies!

Ruth: You are gonna love your kitchen when it's done...woohoo yes you will! I hope your knee feels better and shuts her trap!

Cottage: Ewwww mammogram! I have never had one and I so afraid of it. I have DD's so that will be interesting.

Schatzi: Sounds like a busy, but fun day ahead for you. Enjoy it!

Ally: Just watch your portions and don't be too hard on yourself. Could you bring your own food?

Little Chick: Congrats on the medals! That is awesome!

FemmeCreole: You are making my head spin! I thought I had a busy day ahead of me!

I have another busy one ahead of me. I really have to get to this accreditation stuff, but my phone keeps ringing non-stop. I have ww weigh in tonight and then dinner and shopping with a friend. My cleaning lady is coming today and DH is mowing the grass. Should be atleast clean and relaxing this evening.

Hugs

Ruthie, I hope your shot helps a lot! If not, perhaps a wee nip o' the scotch? I'm so thrilled about your kitchen, but not about all the work. Wish I could come up and help you out!!!

Wait, Cottage, you can't eat before a mammogram??? As if it weren't bad enough already! I've been gardening this week and it's such a soul-filling experience, isn't it?

Have a great day, Ally! (I didn't know we had a pizza smilie!) Maybe next time you can bring your dinner? Or get a pizza you can have, like WW crust or a very thin crust? Pesto instead of red sauce (or white garlic, if that's an option there), lots of veggies instead of pepperoni or sausage?

I've got a crazy day today. DH comes home from Asia tonight and I want to get the house nice...but I have a huge job in the garden, too. The bunnies need brushing and the floors need attention. Yikes! Better get to it!

Have a great day, Beachies!!!

Everyone seems so busy today. I really don't have much to do. Other than the usual homeschooling. I did all the house work yesterday and my house actually stayed clean. Other than a strength training workout and a cardio one later in the day I have and easy day.
Hope everyone does well staying OP,
See everyone laters,
Pohai
PS. lost another 2 lbs.

Whew, it was hot today! I did a favor for Cindy today and stayed later than usual, and now I don't feel like doing anything outside. I just finished cleaning up after a supper of baked salmon and roasted veggies, and now I'm pooped! I think I did enough for one day.

SunnyBunny, there's absolutely nothing to be afraid of, getting a mammogram. It's a breeze! I don't mind getting them in the least.

Beachgal, yes, you can eat before a mammo, they just ask that you avoid caffeine beforehand. I stopped on the way home for an extra-large coffee!
