Default Wild Weekend on the Beach!

CackleDooodleDooooooooo! Rise-n-Shine! The weekend is here

Cawfee is up! I have a puppy at each foot, and a flock of birds at the feeder...It promises to be a GA-Lorius Day! Not much on the docket today.... There's a new trail that details all the plants on it and has bird feeders and boxes sprinkled through out, I think I'll take the dogs for a walk there today..Its only a two miler but with new sniffs and atmosphere!....

Good morning back. Dammit! She's loud!

It's a bit cloudy this morning and I actually slept in until after six. The Girls have chased several squirrels from the yard, had their breakfast and are snoozing on their beds. It's been a hectic week for us all with the construction workies here all day and we are all ready for a quiet Saturday. I had planned to just stay home but there is a plant sale at a school at 9 that I may hit on. After that it'll be an at home day with some minor gardening and some book time.

Don't you just love Spring? My species tulips are blooming and my woods is full of trilliums and violets. I'll take a walk out there later today for a treat if I can stand the black flies!

Have a lovely weekend.

Good Morning Girls,

What a beautiful morning! My irises are almost out and so beautiful. I am really much less sore than I thought I would be after yesterdays rigourous workout. I am going to hop on the gazelle this morning to get a little cardio and work out the kinks. Nothing to pushy...just for theraputic reasons

I have a mini-multi-class reunion last night--so that will be fun.

I hope you all have a great day!

Good am ladies! It looks like you two have a lovely weekend planned.

My DH is working and DD has a softball tournament, so we'll be doing to the ballpark thing all weekend. It's a double elimination, so it's going to be a long one. They had their first game last night and won!

I found out yesterday that I have a stomach virus. Good news is that my dr. said to stick with SB and just avoid milk/cheese for a couple of days. That'll be tricky!

Alright...off to clean my house and get ready for some softball. You all have a terrific OP weekend.

A late start this morning - got up at 10:45 (but I didn't go to bed until after 3). But I have done the ellpitical - which is an achievment as work has been busy and kept me from my typical morning a workout a couple of days - I figure I will fit it in what I can, when I can until the students finish finals and go home for the summer. Scott and I ate breakfast for lunch (as I was a meal behind!), plus two cups of coffee and I feel more human.

Not much on our agenda today - cleaning the fish tank, shopping at whole foods. He suggested the zoo, just not sure I want to go, it will be crowded and with work tonight I need a no stress day, with a book and possibly a nap!

Reading the posts about flowers has me inspired to go buy and plant some, but it is too early and the weather this spring has been crazy! Soon...

Well, off to other things. Enjoy a wonderful Saturday!

50 lbs2go great job on the weight loss!

Ally Sleeping in is great. I don't get to very often.

mamatosydnicjayce Hope you feel better.

Sunnybunny Glad to hear the exersize is going well.

Ruthxxx Your woods sound wonderful, beautiful, peaceful... I love spring.

Schatzi Glad to hear your resting.

Me I laid on the couch this morning and watched Spider Man. That was nice it's been a long time since I laid on the couch and did nothing. Afterwards I went to Macy to checkout the clearance rack. Not much of a clearace. I am used to the 75% off rack at Kohls. Now there is a deal.

For all of you praying for my mom...I am glad to report that she is able to stand up on her good leg to get out of bed long enough to move to a wheel chair. The broken leg seems to be healing nicely.

I am a bit concerned about the 'low-sugar' diet they are feeding her. For example tonight they served her a sandwich on a white bun, french fries, and cooked carrots...

I am about ready to get the cook a copy of the Southbeach book. I try to bring her food when I can. Tonight I brought salad and baked chicken and some fresh fruit. I also left her a suppy of whole wheat crackers, apples, oranges, peanut butter (she cannot eat nuts) and SF cranberry juice. Oh well we do the best we can. Since she is diabetic I am concerned about the wound on her leg healing. I have to remember that God is BIG and stop worrying.

Well thats all for now.

Quickie this morning. My son, my DIL and my darling GD are arriving early this morning to pick up the boat and motor I'm giving them! Nice gift, eh? They have a cottage and may as well use it as I'm not. I need to cobble together some sort of early lunch for them or else go to the LH. It'll be rushed as Lucy and I leave for her obedience training at one! After the class, I'll pop in to see Harry. Dinner will be very late tonight as I need to roast a chicken. Hmmm - maybe I'll freeze it and give myself a break.

Have a super Sunday!

Another late start, as I had a late bedtime. Today is a rather full Sunday - a day I generally like to keep lazy! I have a cookout with my staff and residnets from 2 - 4 and then I teach an alcohol class from 6 - 9. Way too much in my opinion, but there is nothing like cramming one day full of work to leave other weekends free for things I want to do.

Scary afternoon here today. We're getting wave after wave of thunderstorms with the occasional tornado warning popping up. The winds were so strong that a glass bottle blew off of my kitchen window sill earlier. I pulled out the weather radio to keep an ear on things.

I'm experimenting with stromboli for dinner tonight. I didn't have any whole wheat flour, so I substituted spelt flour. And brown rice flour for the potato flour I also didn't have. I'll fill it with a mixture of spinach, rf feta, onion, and garlic. Might cook up a chicken breast or two in George and toss it in as well. Hope it tastes as good as it sounds!!
