Unhappy Can it be water weight??

I'm freaking out a bit.. lol How much "water weight" do you gain during the month

My period is literally about to be here.. I'd say in a day or two.. I'm feeling FAT.. I weighed in today and I GAINED between 1-3 lbs I think it's closer to 2, but I didn't have the heart to find out for sure.. DENIAL...

I'm just wondering is it safe to assume it's water weight gain? Can you gain @ 2lbs of water weight?

I've read you can gain that much somewhere on this board. I wish I had the source to show you, but maybe someone else can help. There are ways you can help reduce bloating during your time of the month. drinking lots of water and cutting back on salt should help with water retention.

Hi Trish,

My scales went up 1 1/2 pounds this morning, but my hips have been a little achey and my shoes are a little tighter. I don't get Tom anymore as I had the "big" surgery, but I sometimes miss a dose of my hormones. I also did some strength training yesterday. It is not unusual for my water weight to fluctuate from 3-4 pounds per day. Are you measuring? When the scales go up, I pull out my tape measure for a quick reminder that I am on the right track.

On average I gain 4-6 lbs during my time. The best advise is to drink lots of water and what ever you do don't measure yourself. Especially around the mid-section.

I easily gain at least 5 pounds every month during my time. It can be frustrating to see the numbers go up but at least it's temporary water weight.

I just got mine today, and I'm up about 1-2 lbs. I'm hoping maybe I've lost weight and will find out after the bloating goes away.

Also, this is the first time I haven't had a time of the month breakout around my chin in months. I usually get a few small zits, but none at all this time. Could it be the cleaner eating and cut back on sugar? I know it's debatable whether diet affects breakouts, but my skin has been looking very nice ever since starting SB. I'm sure the extra water I'm drinking doesn't hurt either.
