Oh, Lilybelle! My sneaking around worked!
With the help of my DD's best friend since the 3rd grade, her SO and her sons, we pulled off a surprise party.
We had to wait weeks for her schedule. Then Nik, her friend, got busy with evites. boobalah and I made all the food. We ended up with about 40 people. Only 2 people couldn't attend.
We were EXHAUSTED Saturday evening. However, she was surprised. She was totally clueless the entire time. She never realized that her SO was feeding email addresses to Nik and that her sons went through her phonebook to get some other phone numbers so we could call them to get their email addresses.
She asked me how Nik and I got together. I reminded her that she asked me to come with her when she and Nik were picking out her wedding gown. When she was in the dressing room, I spoke with Nik. We exchanged cell phone numbers then went to work via email.
Nik had it at her home. She has a 3,000 sq ft home. I live in a dinky matchbox manor.
Thanks again for the idea. I don't know why I didn't think of a party. DUH!
