Thumbs up Hi girls!

I'm into Phase 2 now and I have to say the slower rate of losing weight is going to be hard to get used to.. I lost 15lbs in phase 1 8 lbs the first week 7lbs the next.. last week I had lost 2lbs I'm trying to stay positive, the scale IS going down and not up

I'm getting so burnt out on same ole same ole dinners.. I have the SBD book that has the recipes, Not the new one (Taste of Summer) but the book that you get that describes the SBD and it's phases. Anyone have the taste of summer book? Any yummy recipes to try? I'm sure there is a place to look for recipes lol I'll go look, but if anyone has any yummy tried and true recipes let me know! PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE

Hi Trish! Love your avatar! Congrats to you on losing 15lbs in Phase 1 - that's awesome! Of course, 2 lbs ain't too shabby, either!! I know what you mean about eating the same ol' thing - and it's just Day 6 for me! LOL According to Amazon, the Taste of Summer Cookbook isn't due out 'til May 15th. I've been scouring the boards looking for recipes, myself!

Continued good luck to you!

Hi Trish,

Hang in there... the weight will continue to drop in Phase 2. Some weeks, your loss might be less than other weeks...but, keep your goal in sight. As long as you're headed in the right direction, you are making progress. Have you added cardio exercise to your day? My weight loss really picks up when I do my daily power walk. Are you measuring? I find that I drop a lot of inches when the scales aren't moving much.

I haven't had a chance to really look into the recipes here, but I can recommend the Southbeach Diet Quick & Easy Cookbook. Hubby and I have had most of the recipes and there are many excellent ones. I really don't think we could stay on this plan long without using these recipes and trying new foods often. Eating delicious foods and never being hungry...plus losing weight!....have kept us going on this plan. I can see us following Southbeach for life.

Trish! That's just awesome, the weight you lost on Phase 1! Please DO check out our recipe boards, you'll find a lot of fabulous recipes to try that will help relieve the boredom of your meals, and give you something to look forward to. Several of us Beachers like to make several recipes on the weekend and either refrigerate or freeze them so we have a handy, ready-to-eat meal during the hectic work week. A good cookbook that I really like is the South Beach Quick & Easy Cookbook. I'm looking forward to the new cookbook to come out, too! I'm buying it as soon as it hits the shelves!

Hi Trish and welcome back. I currently have Taco Bake and Salsa Chicken in my freezer. Today I am going to make Turkey Chili and my Mother's meatloaf recipe which is fine for SBD Phase II. I'll post the last one later today.
