Yesterday was just glorious! I did a bit of a poke around in the afternoon but it's way too wet to rake or start cleaning off beds. It looks like my roses survived the crazy winter.
I'm off to the fitness centre, Donna comes at 9, I have a volunteer tea to attend and am going out for dinner so there's a busy day ahead. The Festival starts tomorrow morning so it'll be a flat-out weekend ending with brother Dave for prime rib on Sunday en route to Ottawa!
The girls have off school today, so we're going to find something fun to do. I'm not quite sure, yet, but it will probably involve a picnic at a park. That's one of their favorite things to do. It will sure feel good to be outside. Yesterday was a much better day for me, foodwise. I stayed completely OP without going over my limits, and even drank all my water! It really does help me so much to have my meals planned in advance. Tonight's supper is going to be Shrimp Scampi over spagetti squash. I just love that recipe, thanks, Jet!
TGIF for sure! We got the appraisal via email this morning and it appraised for $2,000 more than we're paying. Phew. Glad that's over. We're supposed to close on Monday, but I imagine that will be pushed back to next Wednesday or Thursday. I am so excited !!
Ruth: It's wonderful you had such a faboo day yesterday! for the weekend. I hope your weekend at the festival is just great!
Cottage: Sounds like a fun day with the girls! Can I join you for dinner??
Gotta go get ready for the daily grind -- hope everyone has just as great a day as I'm having!!!
The weather has been beautiful here, too, and I'm hoping to enjoy it some this weekend. We have our house up for sale and I'm hoping we will need to vacate the house for some showings this weekend.(keep you fingers crossed for me!) After work today, I will be doing some thorough cleaning....its tough trying to keep this place show ready with two kids, three dogs, Hubby and MIL all making their individual messes!
Well...I was having a great on-plan day yesterday....drank all of my water, exercised for an hour and was eating on-plan...then I allowed the negative thoughts to creep in and I went off-plan last night. Arggh! I'm so aggravated with myself. But, I'm back on-plan this morning. I'm hoping to see something good happen on Monday for my weekly weigh-in.
I had a good day yesterday and took my little one out for a long walk. The weather's supposed to be great all weekend and I plan to spend most of it outside. My boys are off school today so we need to figure out something fun to do!
It's really sunny here today, but there's a fire somewhere and it's all smokey. Darned drought!! Having a rough couple of P1 days (yesterday and the day before) I have a 1st birthday party tonight. I haven't made up my mind about cake I passed it up at the party I was at yesterday, it was easy it was white cake and I only eat chocolate. I'm not sure that will matter to me tonight.
BESIDES diet woes. I haven't had time to finish the little chicks room. I swear I'm not doing anything else this weekend until it's done. The boy is with his real dad this weekend at Universal Studios. I love that he gets to be "fun" daddy while my husband and I do all the rearing-but that's another bag of issues. But since Mac is gone it should be easier to finish up DD's room.
ALSO..My sister just came in from her ultrasound and sometime near or on Aug. 27th I am going to get another nephew. This means that while lily will no longer be the baby, she will still be the princess. I can't wait till I get this weight off so I can get pregnant again. I'm feeling a bit of the baby blues, what with the chick turning 2 soon. B really wants to have a boy (my sons not his and you know men and that name bearing thing ) But honestly I'd be elated to have another sweet little girl.
well, that was lengthy.
Not to forget to congratulate KIM on the house and the loss!!!!
Sunny- Feel better. Everyone else take it easy greasy-it's a loooong slide home.
Oh, and Nessa, drink some water
Well, I guess it's nearly afternoon, but good morning anyhoo! YES! It is Friday. I'm ready for some relaxation for the weekend..........well, a change of pace anyway.
Busy at work all week long, but I did stay on "faze" one for the 14 days and then I've done well on phase 2. That's a first for me. Usually I'm sooo hungry for fruit after phase one that I totally blow it when I try to move to phase 2. So far so good, I have allowed a few nibbles of bad food the last couple of days but it hasn't toppled me into sugar obilvion and it didn't taste good, so I'm really happy about that. That's huge for me.
We're still pretty cold here, had some snow yesterday YUK! There was sun this morning so I went for my 4 mile trek, but now it's cloudy and cold.
Well, I've got hair dye on my hair and I need to go rinse, I don't want to do a Schatzi thing with funky hair color so I'm off.
