Default Ugh, frustrated!!!

I am in the middle of week two of phase one...will be complete on Monday and I have only lost 4.5 pounds!!!! My scale has been the same since at least Saturday. The only "cheating" I have done is regular cheese (and only an ounce when I have it and only 1-2xs a day). And I usually have an ounce of nuts instead of 15, but I don't have those every day. So today I am not having regular cheese and I counted out 30 pistacios. I usually have two of the egg muffins or two eggs and veggies for breakfast, string cheese or nuts for a snack, salad with chix and veggies and a SF jello for lunch, another snack, then some sort of meat and veggies for dinner...and a SF popsickle or fudgebar. Any thoughs??

4.5 is just fine! I know the book says 8-13 for Phase I but that's based on people who have not been dieting before and have a lot of water and other weight to lose. You really don't have that much to lose and have already lost more than 25%!

By chix do you mean chick-peas? If not, perhaps you can add some more legumes and also work in some dairy like yogurt or skim milk.

Be patient! It will happen.

Don't be discouraged. Scales are evil. My husband made me buy one about 2 weeks ago so I can track my progress. I'm thinking of putting it in my car's trunk so I don't constantly weigh myself. What a waste of $20. I think measuring and how your clothes fit is a better gage of weight loss. Besides most of the people in the book have a lot of weight to lose. Like Ruth said it depends on your starting weight. I'm in week 2 of phase 1, as well, and so far have only lost 7 pounds but I feel tons better and have a lot more energy. My beginning weight was about 225 give or take a couple.
