Oh and do feel free, ANYONE, to start the new weekly thread if you wake up early enough, this morning the kids went downstairs and played nicely with their new Easter stuff and let me sleep in a bit. Ahhh nice! Now of course the house is up and hopping.
I am so frustrated with myself and my EATING yesterday! I was a total vaccuum! Oh okay truth be told, it just about started Saturday night. Went to the bowling league, wasn't going to drink, but someone buys me ONE and it just SNOWBALLS from there! NOT TO MENTION I was drinking Jager Bombs (sp?) all that Red Bull.....omg I could NOT sleep that night! Plus the fast food run, the drinking the staying awake, the peanut butter eggs...LOL...I wasn't too upset overall with Saturday since at least I went to the gym, but Sunday after the big dinner I literally just graaaaaazed all day long. Why, oh why, do we leave the food out all day to be picked over?
Strangely enough, there were only TWO desserts but I went back for ham and potatoes/noodles all day long, not to mention the devilled eggs, where you can just cram one or two in your mouth on the spot.Enough with the food porn....LOL..sorry. But I did change my workout around. Please comment if you can. It really depends on who trains you and tells you what you should do. My last trainer was all about, very little to no cardio~she said it would exhaust your muscles before the lifting (I should have known that was bogus right then and there~most of my own wt loss to date was attributed to cardio!) So my cardio was cut waaay back to about ten minutes before and 10-15 after...which is not too bad. So the new plan is 15-20 min cardio before and after....The old trainer was all about lifting as much weight as you possibly can and just lifting as many reps as you can total before exhausting, around 8-10 reps. But this weekend I was taught to cut the weight waaaay back and upping the reps. And I'm training as a "circuit", there are four to six exercises, I do 10-15 reps on each and move quickly onto the next move. That way I'm not bored doing 3 sets of 10 reps all in a row, I do all my moves, one set, repeat, repeat, around in a circle. Plus I'm finding that the lower weights (8lb or 12lb rather than the 20-25 I could lift before).....feels so good! I'm still getting the "sore" feeling that I'm really doing something, it's not "too easy" and I really do feel the burn. I'm really exciting hoping I'll see some real changes soon.
OMG I am doing these crazy squat-jump things and they are killer!
This week's schedule....(not so much for your reading pleasure as my own plan)....today I have the kids all day so probably no gym time, work tonight. Tomorrow I can wake up and do the gym (OK, truthfully, I WANT to wake up early like 12 noon, and go play poker at 1pm, get the kids and go to the gym after 5pm, either way I WILL gym, one time or the other....bad girl!) Go to bed at usual time Tuesday, have Rachel all day Wednesday so no gym Wed unless the in-laws have her and I go, I don't usually do that though, work Wed night, get up go to gym Thursday (I usually don't like to go between 2 shifts in a row, but this new motivation might get me up and make me go) work Thursday night, get up Friday, can definitely go then, Saturday morning is Robert's bowling banquet, but I can gym after that, my bowling league Saturday night~the LAST week of our league!
But we locked up FIRST PLACE last weekend! So long story short, I should be able to workout 4 days this week.
Oh here's a funny story, I mentioned that we locked up first place at bowling this weekend but let me tell ya, IT WASN'T BECAUSE OF ME! LOL, So we would lock it up if we won TWO games...we won the first game, then the second game I pulled out a WHOPPING 101----I average 165!!! And we TIED that game!! LOL DH says, Geez couldn't you bowl a freakin 102? LOL but we went on to win the next one...but 101! OMG.
OK enough for now....tons of cleaning around here, recovery from the weekend. Hope to see you all pop in soon xoxooxoMichelle

Now, we have all that candy. I haven't touched any of it today.
After a couple of days, I won't even notice it.
I believe I have lost more this time around than I have at my previous attempts.
