Default Happy Monday Girls......think Spring

Just about time to hit the sheets, I've been tossing and turning for hours so I finally decided to get my chocolate bunny arse up and check out the site.

Anyhoo, I did OK in the first week of "faze" one. I lost 8 pounds. I was able to run twice and plan to go in the AM if I can get my fanny out of bed.

I officially graduated on Saturday. My mom and dad came and 15 dd. I was pretty awesome to get granny graduated.

This week will be spent fixing meals ahead and trying out some new recipes.

Hugs to all!

Good Morning, I think. I'm really dragging and feeling pretty lazy so far. I'm showered and dressed, but that's about as far as I've gotten. Yesterday was a blast, we spent the day laughing and eating and just enjoying each other's company. And I didn't eat any candy at all, but I did have a cannoli and a small dish of rice pudding. Maybe that's what's making me feel so lethargic today. The fridge is full of fattening leftovers, but I'm not even tempted to look at them. I'll stick to soup for lunch and a salad for supper.
So how's your day shaping up?

RnMom, Good morning to you, and thanks for starting us up today. You are so lucky, how do you always manage to lose so much weight on Phase 1? You are doing great, keep it up!

RNMOM, thanks for starting us up and, once again, congratulations!

Cottage, be strong and keep ignoring those leftovers. My fridge is pretty safe as I had dinner out.

Today things get back to "normal" and I'm glad. Most stores and businesses are back at it today but government offices are closed. I was hoping to get my water test results today and then remembered.

We did end up having the Easter Egg hunt after Church which meant I didn't get to see Harry in the afternoon. There just wasn't time to do that and feed and potty the dogs before I went out for dinner. We'll go this afternoon for a while.

The sun is blazing in my grubby diningroom window and lighting up my orchid. I'm planning to ignore the window and focus on the flowers today! I need spring so badly I can taste it - and I'm not indulging in maple syrup!

What's happening on your Monday?

Ah, darned it, Ruth! You had to go and mention grubby windows! I was just noticing how bad mine look and not looking forward to that job! I'm with you, I need Spring so bad! Where is it this year???? Thanks for the lovely picture of your orchids, I have a vase bursting full of sunny daffodils that make me smile every time I look at it.

Schatzi, I just drained the last cup of coffee from my pot! Your supper for tonight sounds yummy! How was that Polish Spagetti yesterday?

That coffee must have done it's job. I just finished vacuuming the remains of yesterday and took the extra leafs out of the dining room table, and emptied the dishwasher. Still tired, but at least I don't feel guilty about it anymore.

Hey! The picture is from my files. I have the same orchid and have taken several pics but have not got around to downloading them - or is it uploading? I'll post the real thing when I get that off my To Do list.

I'm still loafing around in my robe! My BGL was way too low this morning so I'm waiting for my yogurt, berries and Bran Buds to adjust it. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. The rest of you just carry on.

Mornin' All -

I, too, am dragging. Since it was SNOWING when I woke up this morning, I just didn't want to get out of bed.

I have another interview this morning for a position in the bank...an admin. asst. in the Global Escrow department. I'm not quite sure what Global Escrow is, though...

Kiko Keep that chin up girl...you can do this

Cottage eeep! The only thing I don't like about Spring is the cleaning. And windows...yup, I need to do mine too

Schatzi mmm....porky chops. Have a good day

Ruth Why are government offices closed today?

RNMOM Congrats!!!

Someone asked in the weekend thread how my cola chicken turned out...well I drank all the diet soda, so I haven't made it yet

Gotta motor...have a great day all!!

Morning everybody!

I stayed up way too late last night and am feeling groggy this morning.

RNMom: Congrats on your graduation and your awesome weight loss!

cottage: I hear you on not wanting any fattening food. I feel so weighed down from this weekend. Here's to soup and salad all day!

Ruth: Ahhh, spring is here...almost! Working with your flowers must be so fulfilling and I can't wait until we have a garden (flower) to really tend to.

Schatzi: Could you pass that IV drip over here? I've layed off the coffee lately, but I'm snoozy and the office is FREEZIN'! Ugh, statistics are so horrible -- why are they required?!?!

Kiko: You can do this! I think it's a fun challenge to eat right when I've got a fridge full of "nothing" foods! Good luck!

ME: I finally started packing the house last night. I'm just going to go through and pack all the non-necessities room-by-room this week. This weekend we're going to start filling holes and such.

My total loss for week 1 of P1 is 5 lbs. I'd like to lose more this week, but if I don't, that's okay. My goal for April is 8 lbs and I'm only 3 lbs from it...YAY! I'm going to get back on the work out wagon this week with a couple of good walks and some time doing pilates and riding around town on my bike. I hope that will help boost my energy (and metabolism) some.

Well, lots of work to do, so I'd better get to it! Have a wonderful day!

~Kim

Annarenee, Easter Monday is a "Bank Holiday" - something we inherited from the Brits. Government offices and schools are closed. Boxing DAy (Dec. 26) is another Bank Holiday. No matter how we feel about the Brits, we take it! We're rooting for you at your interview today!

Kiko, the upward blip is probably partly water as you know. East clean for the week and it'll leave.

Kimstar, are you feeling better now? Packing up non-essentials is a great workout.

Chickies, I must confess I've done nothing so far today except mess around and sweep half the kitchen floor. I swept some of the tracked in stuff into a pile, Hershey sat beside it, wagged her tail and.......!!!!! Muddy paw prints are really hard to mop up when wet so I let them dry and then sweep the dust before I mop. I guess I'll be starting over ...... after lunch!

Annarenee: Good luck doll..We're rootin fer ya! Okay new strategy. BUY 2 cans of diet cola... one fer the sauce and one fer you to sip whilst cookin

KIKO: Youem havem strong willpower dust.

Cottage: Polish Spaghetti is always yummy to DH...me, well I think it taste kinda mucky ...But then again.. I would be thrown outta the Italian American club if I admitted to liken the stuff.

Okay...of to clean this crack den..I"ahhh, I love the smell of bleach in the mornin! " I need to get me nose outta the books for a bit...

Default Morning chickies..phase 2 first week..not too bad..

I was looking for a thread to post the weekly weigh in for phase two'ers..Ruth do we have a special thread for that? I'm down two lbs.this week..so i'm target w/da plan..I dabbled w/some foods this week, but strangely..I'm not craving..I allowed strawberries, the first few days, then went for oatmeal one morning, had wine one evening, and yesterday had a piece of toast w/breakfast..no walking tho..too rainy. actually I COULD have slipped in a excercise tape.I'm still kind of happy with the food items i was eating in Phase One..I was contented..it was more like a no brainer..just have what was allowed, put it in,and be done with it..this phase two has more thinking involved. I keep learning tho how much our lives revolve around food (dh&me)..it's like our major form of entertainment..WHOA..funny (not really)the things you find out when you give a few food items the toss.
Stay warm everyone..we had one fab day,and now the showers..don't mind at all, i have inside work to do,and a book to finish. Feeling great.. Take care...choices~

The weekend went way too fast but was a lot of fun. Saturday morning, we cleaned up the park and creek. We pulled out two shopping carts, 3 oil filters, a gas cap, a couple of tires, a car radio, a hubcap and a whole bunch of other stuff out of the creek behind the elementary school. I don't know why people can't dispose of their trash properly. Shortly after we stopped, it started snowing but it was just flurries and they didn't accumulate. Still, it was very cold for Dallas in April.

Saturday night, we went to a pavilion party for the scouts at the Texas Rangers home opener. Brian was excited to find out that he came in 6th in the council for selling just over $4000 in popcorn. The top seller sold over $9K! That is a LOT! We ate barbecue and then we all got to sit in the same section of the game. It was 37 degrees when the game started which is the coldest ever for a Rangers game. It dropped another few degrees before the game ended around 11PM. We ended up buying a blanket at the game and spent most of the game wrapped up as much as we could. We wore layers but my feet were frozen. It's warmer today and it should be warmer every day for awhile.

Yesterday we went to an early mass and then over to a friend's house for the day. I've got to stop and grocery shop on the way home from work since I didn't have time this weekend. Brian also wants me to pick up DragonQuest by Anne McCaffrey. He finished the first Dragonriders of Pern book this weekend and his school library doesn't carry the series. We have the first three books in one hardback really fat book but that is too much for him to take to school every day. It's cool having him read books I read as a kid (although older than he is now).

Choices, we really don't have a weekly weigh-in for any phase as everyone starts the plan at different times. We do have a monthly weightloss challenge and I see that you are in that! Congratulations on your loss so far - you definitely ARE on target!
