This may have been answered in other places but I thought I'd ask anyway... is there a recommended way off keeping weight off with PCOS after I've reached my goal weight?
I was diagnosed at 18, weighing about 13 stone, but my doctor said that I had caused the PCOS by being overweight. I've heard differing theories over the years so I've never really looked into it. I just assumed that it was my fault.
I'm lucky in that I only have the problems with the regularity of periods and the weight - not any of the other problems that people have.
Is there a consensus now about what we should be eating to stay healthy, and does the PCOS have an affect on how we process food? I'm on a food-replacement diet at the moment and I'm losing loads of weight, but I'm worried about what happens when I start eating again.
Any advice would be welcome!
Thanks Emma
