Smile Monday Meandering on the Beach!

Cackle Doodle Doooooo! Cawfee awaits youuuuuuuuuu!

Hope you chicks had a super weekend...wested and wewaxed or got yer "niggles" done!

Today is Swiffer Dust n Mop day! My home is a crack house! I've only been able to give it a lick n a promise for the last month and the dust bunnies are sneakily forming ranks under the couch.... DH and I went out and got a new vacuum yesterday...I've been telling him.." i'm gonna need a new vacuum soon... "The Beast" (that's what I call this dirt devil model we have, its heavy as a and cumbersome) is on it's last legs" well, Dh pulled it out to vacuum his car and he was This piece is cracked off, this part duct taped, attachments missing...heheeeeee. He said I had no idea it was this bad!!! (well, a course not, he never vacuums ) Ah, well, we had it for 7 years so it served us well... "The Beast" has been replaced with "the animal" the Dyson Animal that is... Pricey but all the reviews on epinions and at work say its the best.... We shall see.... I plan to vacuum an area with the beast and revac with the animal.... Yes, my life is That boring lately!

Off to the Docs and then back to studying in the afternoon!

so what's a happenin on yer stretch of sand?

Loook!!! Easter Smilies!!!!!

Good morning,
I'm sitting here half awake wanting my coffee, but I'm making myself go to Curves first. I had a little incident with a couple of peanut butter eggs yesterday, so I have to pay the piper today. I will confess though that it won't happen again, I feel pretty blah.

Schatzi, I hope you have better luck with your Dyson than my experience with one. Cindy has one, and we loved it at first, it was great, but after only 2 years it's starting to fall apart!

Well, it's time for me to get that exercising done. I'll be back in a bit.

I've been thinking of a Dyson lately but it may be the guy in the ads that's getting my attention!

We have a stretch of wet weather ahead of us and even have snow on the menu for Thursday! I guess more yardwork will be waiting until next week.

Lucy did well at the obedience training class yesterday. It's amazing what a dog will do for a tiny bit of dried liver! The dogs in the course are all BIG brutes - Bouviers, Rotties, a Great Dane and a couple of Shepherd's so she was a bit intimidated at first.

Feeling draggy again today. I may go back to bed for a bit and am considering calling the doc for a check-up. I can't suddenly have grown old, can I?

What's happening for your Monday?

Good morning - Nice to know that others are up early also. Our alarm is set for 5:15 most mornings. My sons are still expecting an "Easter basket" this year, but the peanut butter eggs call to me no matter where I hide them. So this year I excluded them from the list and asked them to please eat all the chocolate included immediately so that Mom won't be tempted. lol I am attempting to move into P2 but have met some bumps along the way. Not being prepared Saturday for a restaurant meal (impromptu) and including p2 foods slowly caused me to put back on 2 pounds. Yikes. I also am heading to Curves this a.m. but ours is not open till 8. Have a great Monday.

I just had my coffee and oatmeal, and now I can look at life more optimistically. I've been feeling pretty draggy, too, Ruth, it must be something in the air, maybe Spring Fever? I know I haven't felt like my usual energetic self for a few weeks now. I was just telling a friend at Curves this morning that I feel like Eyore in Winnie the Pooh.

I'm not sure what today will bring. I'm waiting for Cindy to call, but Audrey has school this week and Maggie is on break. Their cousins arrived late Friday, I left before they got there, so I don't know how everything is going with them. My original plan was to have them all dye Easter eggs today, so that's probably one thing we'll do. It's supposed to warm up into the 70s today, so if it dries up they can play outside, too.

We finally got our water turned back on around 5pm yesterday, but the road is a mess. I expect the crew will be back today to clean up. At least I was able to run the dishwasher after supper and even did a couple loads of laundry.

Good Monday Morning!!

Schatzi: I'm so jealous of you and your new Dyson! That thing looks like my dream come true what with all the pet hair around here! Have fun vacuuming twice. (Secretly, it sounds like fun! )

Cottage: Glad to hear that the water's back on! There will be NO Easter candy allowed near our house this year. I couldn't resist it! Have fun dying Easter eggs with the kiddos!

Ruth: Yay for Lucy! What a good girl she must be! I've been in a funk lately, but I hope my foray into Phase 1 helps me revamp my energy! It probably is the Spring Fever.

Michigan girl: Wow, those impromptu restaurant meals sure can be a killer. Sounds like you're on track, though and I bet those two pounds will come off in no time!

ME: Well, Day 1, Phase 1; here I am! Had a great breakfast of 2 eggs w/ onions and green onions, a glass of ff milk, a glass of V8, and my multi-vitamin. Makes me feel good to just start the day off right. I weighed in at 219 this morning. Quite depressing, but I know I can change that. It would be nice to be 209 or less by the end of P1, but I know it all depends on my body and how much water-weight there is.

On to other things -- it promises to be a loverly day today with clear skies and a high of 85*F. Sounds hot, but in this dry desert air, it's not that bad. DH and I have a date with a movie from Netflix tonight, so I'm looking forward to that. I just need to dust and vacuum one room tonight and then we'll be all set.

Lunch is going to be a salmon salad with olive oil and vinegar dressing and dinner is taco bake with some veggies on the side. YUM!

Have a great day, everyone -- I need to shower for work!!

~Kim

Me too, Cottage! I've had my breakfast, done a bit of tidying, washed one dog bed, (Why are they white?), lent my car to my neighbour to drive a kid to school who missed the bus, called in my prescription renewals and am now ready to tackle the day.

Ruth, i've always wondered that about dog beds meself. It just doesn't make any sense. I have 2 dogs, 1 of which is a yellow lab that is pretty much white and still very much a puppy. She is only 6months old. With spring she goes outside the other dog and her get to playing and she turns into a brown dog. It's a never ending battle she is just a mess!

The laundry is rolling her too, never none to do and that isn't going to let up for the next 16 years or so LOL

Next on the agenda, get my rear off the laptop and cleaned up to start the day for real.

Default g'morning

Hey all,

Nice to be reading the posts....in fact it is nice to not be doing anything right now. Ya, the house is calling me....oh well. Ya Schats, you think you have the crack house, well, my house is your crack house's pimp!

I was going to go run today, but it is so cold and blowy. I'm so ready for sunshine and warm.

Day 2 of "faze 1.....yesterday was OK, but today the sugar detox headaches will probably hit with a vengence. I've been pretty bad. I'll chug the water to see if that will help.

Hugs to all

Hey gals,

First time I have made it in to post today.

Stinger I hear ya- head my way with that Dyson!

I am tired tonight, just curling up on the couch to watch a bit of Dancing with the Stars. We had a great weekend- it is SO nice to have DH home. Both the girls and I have just been loving it.

My MIL just called to invite us over for Easter dinner. Not my first choice of how to celebrate the holiday, but I didn't feel right saying no since we have no other plans.

On plan today, just now need to make it to bedtime.....
