Default oh boy hope this helps

good morning chicks and chicklets. i'm hoping this will help - i have gained and lost about ten pounds for about a year now, when what i really need to do is lose 60 pounds...like you, i know exactly what i need to do, but haven't been able to stay focused long enough to get it done - although i suspect i'm more comfortable being invisible....and that's my issue...what about you?

Goodmorning Lovely Lady,
I totally agree that "being invisible" (I'm guessing you mean not posting and really following advice) is so much easier to do than confronting our issues, especially when we have issues with ourselves. What I have found with being a part of this web community and participating in posting and private messages is that I actually beat myself up less if I make a poor choice or have a bad week. The community here is amazing and I am always uplifted, even if I am just lurking around the posts reading other peoples successes and meeting their goals. I hope I am on the right track of conversation for what you asked. Anyway, I too have been struggling to stay focused on what I NEED to do. I always tell myself "I'll REALLY start next week, or next month" Well, next month is here tomorrow! My suggestion: find a support forum where you can post your success or set backs and you will have encouragement and advice almost immediately. Next, find a buddy you can private message with and remain accountable to. It really helps when you have lots of people who know what you are going through to vent, cry, laugh, and move forward with. Hope this helps you.

Hi Lovely Lady!

Welcome!

I took the "being invisable" as truly FEELING invisable. Is that what you meant? I know that for MANY years I really didn't believe that I was valuable enough to count! I would do everything for everyone else and always take the back seat. I didn't believe that I was worthy enough to put myself first. It took a good long while for me to diagnose my problem and even longer to really FACE it, but, with God's help and with the help of all of my friends here on 3FC, I am finally learning to stand up for myself and to put myself first sometimes! It is a good feeling!

I think that we have to love ourselves first. I don't believe that I ever did until just about a year ago! I was so focused on everyone else, my job, my children, my husband, etc. that I let myself down in a VERY BIG WAY!

For thirty years I forgot myself in the equation! I gained over 100 pounds which shows how much I WASN'T thinking!!!

You can do this! Were there to help you! Jump aboard the 3FC Weight Loss Adventure!!

Cheryl

Lovely Lady, you may feel more comfortable being invisible right now, but once you lose those 60 pounds (and you WILL!) for good, you'll want to be dancing in the spotlight 24/7! You say that you can't stay focused, but coming to 3FC is a great start. Good luck!
