Default Thursday's Chick Chat!

It's another beautiful morning here, chilly, but sunny. I have to dash off in a few minutes, but thought I'd start us up. It's my day to take the girls to school, run errands, and do anything else that needs doing. We'll probably work on some Easter crafts after school. My life is so exciting!

Gotta run for now, I'll pop back in later this afternoon. Be good and make it a great day!

Be good? You have to be kidding! Actually got on the scale this morning after ignoring it for a week and really need to be good! That's one of the reasons I weigh daily - I need daily accountability!

Glorious day unfolding here right now although it's only 20ºF. I ran the dishwasher after the dinner party last night, have unloaded it and the washer is dealing with the napkins and tablecloth. The rest of today is mine! No appointments, just fun stuff. I may even work in a nap as it was a late night - we were still at the table after midnight!

By the way, I sent the rest of the rum cake home with my guests. There is no way I can have that in the house!

So what's happening around your Beach towel this fine Thursday?

Good morning! It is sunny here already - always makes it easier to get out of bed and get motivated. The knowlegde that it will be a half day at work does not hurt either! We have to choose next year's RA staff this morning (we are usually pretty nice, but it can get competitive!) and then the two of us not going to Florida for the conference tomorrow get to take the afternoon off. I may get a hair cut and pedicure OR I may come home, read my book and take a nap! Depends onthe energy level at the time.

Cottage - Easter crafts whould be fun! What will you be making?

Ruth - you get more done in the morning than I think I do some entire days! Enjoy an afternoon of "you" time!

Off to get ready. Have a great day!

Good Morning Chicks,

I am trying to get some work done at work...imagine that! This week has been fast but stressful and hectic. I have to work on Saturday morning too, which sucks!

I am doing really well on phase 1...I am to the point that it is becoming normal and not bothering me at all. I am hungry in the morning and craving protein and not a bagel...awesome!

Cottage: Easter crafts sound like lots of fun. I think I am going to color eggs this weeked...I don't have kids, but oh well...I like doing it.

Ruth: I have so much stuff to do at the house, your dinner party sounds like fun.

Amasam: I so need a pedicure...you should go get one for me

Ya'll take care and I am going to go earn my dollar

Sunny

Afternoon chicks, the sun is shinning here as well but it is cold and windy.
I have accomplished my to do list for the day. Other than laundry is still ongoing. We have the big elementary school play tonight to go to. Some of the kids I babysit are in it as well as lots of kids that we know from the neighbourhood. DH and the girls are going with me.

Well I gotta to dash and change the laundry over. Have a great day chicks.

work has been crazier than last week if you can believe it. I was on an outage call for 8 hours yesterday and got pulled into another one from 8-9 last night and then around 2:30 this morning.

I started trying to type this an hour ago and got pulled off on stuff again so I'll just say Hi while I can.

Hello, ladies! My daddy was here the past 2 nights and things were silly crazy. I'm glad to get some alone time with him, but the girls have been nuts. We're still on a complete internet ban at work. It's driving me crazy!! An opportunity to research epoxies came up and I jumped on it just so I could surf legally. How sad is that?

Jet, I'm glad you got to spend some quality time with your dad, there's nothing more precious than family.

Barb, you poor girl, you've hardly had time to even breathe lately. When do you expect all this to start slowing down for you? Soon, I hope!

Feelinsxy, get better soon! The only way I can eat the black bean brownies is with Cool Whip on them or a little yogurt. They just don't taste right on their own.

LC, enjoy the school play, I always love going to them and school concerts, too. That's wonderful that you can get your DH to go with you, Jake always tries to get out of going.

Sunnybunny, I'm glad you're still going strong, keep it up!

Anasam, we never did get to making crafts today, other things came up. We were going to make Easter eggs out of craft foam and decorate them, we'll probably do it tomorrow along with making a Bunny House. We're waiting until Monday to dye our eggs, I don't want them to go bad before Easter gets here!

Ruth, the best dinner parties are when guests stay at the table and talk until the wee hours, they must have really had a good time. That was a wise move, sending that extra cake home with your guests.

Maggie and I had to spend most of the afternoon tracking down a bookstore that carried a book Audrey had "misplaced" from her school library. I empty her backpack every day, and neither Cindy nor I have ever seen the book, but they won't let her check out any books until the missing one is replaced, so we bought a new one. Cindy called me while we were out and added some other errands to the list "since we were already out", and we got done just in time to pick up Audrey. By then, Maggie was tired and grumpy so I just let the girls have some free play time. Sometimes they need just that.

Well, I'm rambling, and it's almost time for Survivor. Time to make my Peanut Butter Cup and a cup of tea and enjoy the show.
