SBD is a great diet for those with PCOS. Really, any diet that restricts the bad carbs is a good choice for us.

I'm sorry that your GYN gave you such a hard time. You certainly can lose weight, and you should! Easier now why you are young than to wait until you get older.
As for the diet pills, I know they're tempting - they really do make things easier. But, they can have bad effects on your health. I took them before, when I was 20 and looking for a quick fix. I found it - lost about 70 pounds and kept most of it all off until I was almost 22 - then the weight started coming back on. By 23 I was heavier than I'd ever been. And despite trying numerous diets (except for SB) I didn't lose any weight. It was frustrating!
