Brand Newbie-Ready to get moving
Hi Everyone!
Just wanted to take a second and join in the fun. I'm new to the site and in the process of re-aligning just about everything in my life so my weight is falling right into place with that, quite nicely actually. Stay at home mom to two kids (6 and 3) and writer in my mid 30s. If I'm getting a divorce, does that count as an initial weight loss of 200 pounds or more? Giggles. We're still friends, so it's not a loss, but funny just the same and definitely motivating.
I started losing weight last fall by quitting diets altogether. I was on a medication that caused me to lose my appetite and suddenly I had to think about the fuel I put into my body. It forced me to make decent choices that would give me strength and energy through the day and now it's just habit. But eating is only part of the plan. I've lost weight thus far by making better decisions and using the remote less and my legs more. Now, I'm ready to actually kick that into high gear and I'm joining a local fitness club that has a Team Weight Loss group for 12 weeks. It seems expensive, but I'm worth it ( Thanks to all the great women in my life for cementing that philosophy )and this body has to take me a lot further in life so I need to get it in line with where my head is, fit in all areas.
I look forward to getting to know you all.
